This gorgeous upscale oceanfront home is literally steps away from a sandy beach with a protected “keiki” swimming area; a 10 minute walk to downtown Kona’s shopping, entertainment, restaurants, and the world famous Ironman Finish; a 3 minute walk to Kona’s major sports and recreation area that includes acres of baseball & soccer fields, tennis courts, inline skating rink, top aquatic center with many lanes for triathletes & beginners, walking/jogging paths and 1 mi of oceanfront at the state park.

This stunning home is beautifully appointed with comfortable furniture and upscale finishes such as koa wood, slate and granite. The home design merges indoors with outdoors; the living and dining area open to a large comfortably furnished “oceanfront lanai”. You won’t want to leave the lanai!

The main floor is an open design with high ceilings and flows through a well-equipped gourmet kitchen with wet bar, formal dining area, & living/media area that opens on three sides to a large covered lanai for relaxing or entertaining. The kitchen is well stocked to meet the needs of the most discriminate chef, featuring both a convection oven and conventional oven and cooktop. The wet bar is a convenient stop on the way to the formal dining area or outdoor lanai dining and grill. The large master bedroom, highlighted with a king bed and luxury bathroom & walk-in closet, opens to the lanai. The laundry room and half bath complete the main floor.

Upstairs there are an additional 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. The second bedroom has two sets of twin bunk beds, perfect for kids. The second bedroom has one queen bed and a twin and a bathroom with shower and the third bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed and a bathroom with tub/shower. All bedrooms have ample windows for light and cool breezes and two of the bedrooms have narrow balconies. This arrangement offers plenty of room and privacy for everyone.

Kona Bay Estates is an exclusive gated community. This home is perfectly situated to capture sunsets for lifetime memories. The daytime ocean breezes naturally circulate through the home; with cool mountain breeze reverse-circulating at night. Ceiling fans are located throughout the home.

The Big Island is an adventurer heaven with Volcano National Park (about 2 1/2 hour drive), horseback riding, ATVs, hiking, golf, snorkeling, botanical gardens, deep sea fishing, world famous beaches & many other activities throughout our tropical island.

5 Night Minimum Stay/10 night minimum stay during Ironman & Christmas. This is a non-smoking, no pets property.

This lovely house was perfect for our family of 6 adults, 2 young children, and a 1-year old. We had everything we needed, and the convenient keiki beach provided much fun. The lani was great for relaxing, meals, and enjoying the sunset. The location was good for many activities on the Big Island. We had a wonderful week there.

We stayed Dec 26 to Jan 5 and loved the house. We saw more whales from the house than our whale watch trip. Our last morning a mother and her calf came in very close to the shore. Mom had just calved and was bringing the baby up to breath. Fantastic way to end our trip!

I would want to move into this house - from the moment we stepped onto the property it was as if we had been transported to paradise. We were 3 generations traveling together and everyone from kids to grandparents loved this vacation. Layout was perfect for the ocean breezes to keep the house cool, all furnishings were top-notch, the kitchen was a chef's heaven, the master bedroom/bath were to die for. The owners really thought of every last detail, providing plenty of amenities and extremely helpful guidance from Kona Concierge, who planned an entire itinerary for our stay on the Big Island at our request. The location was perfect - we were steps from the ocean and the keiki lagoon, as well as quite close to all the happenings on Alii Drive. We would absolutely stay here again (and again and again!)

Beautiful Home in a Gorgeous Location

The house's signature feature is the expansive indoor/outdoor lanai that has an unobstructed view onto the ocean. One house down from a Keiki (children's lagoon) beach which was perfect for my 1 year old. The fourth bedroom has two bunk beds with trundle beds beneath each bunk, allowing for a total of 6 kids in one room.

1) Improve the WIFI range. WIFI only works in the kitchen, living room and master bedroom. Limited coverage on the lanai. No coverage in the three upper floor bedrooms. Spoke with the property manager about the issue, but they never followed up with us.
2) Replace/recondition outside furniture as the ocean moisture has worn down the finish on the wood and the cushions are getting a little moldy.

Aloha! Thank you for choosing to stay at Kona Bay Estates #23. We appreciate your feedback about the WIFI and cushions on the lanai furniture. The owner purchased a Wi-Fi extender that now provides a better signal on the second floor of the home. They also worked with a professional upholstery company and had all of the outside lanai cushions re-upholstered with some great Sunbrella fabric that will hold up again the harsh ocean breezes and salt water damage.
