For those who like their coffee as a double and their marathons as a half, the 100% Pure Kona Coffee Half Marathon is just your speed. Grab your running shoes and get ready to lace them up this November 10, 2018 for the 3rd annual half-marathon held in honor of everyone’s favorite coffee: 100% pure Kona.
This year’s Pure Kona Coffee Half Marathon will take a page from the much larger Ironman competition and follow the scenic, palm tree-lined curves of Ali`i Drive in Kona, treating competitors and spectators alike to beautiful views of the scenic bay. Starting at the Coconut Grove Marketplace the raceway winds its way over a few gentle hills (it is mostly flat) southward to the infamous “Pit” (the biggest elevation change on the course) and “The End of The World” (scenic seaside cliffs). At the finish line you can bask in your accomplishment (or cheer on your favorite racer) with a cup of fresh 100% Kona Coffee. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers, as well as the top finishers in each 10-year age group. Thanks to the conditions and the course, this is a great race for beginning distance runners and aspiring marathoners.
