Cold Brews and Delicious Foods
Held at the beautiful Courtyard King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel in Kailua-Kona Village, this Hawaii beer festival is a celebration if island flavors, local flare, and, above all, delicious beer. Featuring 36 breweries from the Hawaiian Islands and mainland U.S., including popular local breweries like Maui Brewing, Big Island Brewhaus, Kona (the inaugural brewery that launched the festival in 1996), and many more, the line-up of beers features the very best in locally sourced, Hawaiian-inspired beers from refreshing blonde ales to snappy saisons to hoppy IPA’s. The festivities kick off with a welcoming hula and traditional blessing, and then guests are free to mingle, make friends, and enjoy the liberal libations being poured up amidst beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. Live music keeps the atmosphere festive all day long, and pupus (appetizers) and bite-sized morsels from 36 of the Big Island’s best eateries are sure to keep you coming back for seconds (and thirds). Participating chefs in past years have included such popular culinary masterminds as Honu’s, Tropics’ Ale House, and Umeke’s Poke.
