Mauna Lani has it all!
Though of course you’ll want to go exploring, there’s really no need to even leave the Villages at Mauna Lani to have an amazing vacation. From world-class tennis and golf facilities, to beautiful walking paths amid ancient oceanfront fishponds, to a private beach club with awesome snorkeling, we’ve got you covered with tons of fun activities. Convenience is also key: there’s a grocery store just minutes away, as well as some fabulous restaurants to try. If you’ve exhausted all those, within a short drive away is the shops and restaurants of Waikoloa Beach Resort, as well as several other beaches to explore: ʻAnaehoʻomalu (A-Bay), with glass bottom boat tours and whale watching in season, Kaunaʻoa Beach at Mauna Kea Resort, and Hāpuna Beach, the longest stretch of white sand on the island. You’ll not get bored anytime soon!
The possibilities are endless at Mauna Lani Villages. Head mauka (uphill) to cowboy country, and visit Waimea, the home of Parker Ranch. The historic Parker home is available for tours, and the Saturday farmers’ markets are abundant. Head north to Kohala, and visit the tiny, artsy towns of Hāwī and Kapaʻau; marvel at the scenery from Pololū Valley overlook. Go south on another day, stopping in Kailua-Kona to stroll along the shops and sights of Aliʻi Drive. Head further south still, to the coffee-scented uplands of Kona and the incredible snorkeling of Kealakekua Bay. And of course, there are many amazing tours to choose from that can take you to places you wouldn’t be able to drive to yourself: the summit of Mauna Kea, private waterfalls, the steep descent into Waipiʻo Valley.
