What Our Guests Are Saying
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our ten day stay at Mahuahua Place. Every aspect of the home was perfectly appointed for a wonderful stay. The home, pool, hot tub and landscape are kept immaculately. The peaceful view from the sizable lanai is restorative. We would recommend this home and the wonderful support system that is included to any family looking for a rental home in Kailua-Kona.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bay Watch. The house was clean, orderly, and stocked with with plenty of clean towels for both home and beach. The setting is simply amazing! We did encounter problems with the dishwasher and washing machine, both were handled professionally and expediently, and did not impact our stay. Having been an owner of a vacation rental, we understand that unexpected issues of this nature do arise from time to time. Thank you to Erin and the Kona Coast Vacations maintenance team, for the quick follow-up on issues. Collectively, our family felt that the only thing to improve the quality of our stay would have been having an additional 4 chaise lounges to match the number of guests, and perhaps a bistro set on the upper lanai, as the view is splendid from there.
Kulalani at Mauna Lani 802
The pools and fitness facility are excellent and having access to the beach at the beach club (2.5 miles away) is a great asset to one's vacation. A few cruiser bikes would have made this place ideal for us as it is about 3/4 miles from the beach (at Fairmount) and a nice grocery store/shops/restaurants. it was described accurately
Lucky 42 at Kona Bay Estates
Two grandparents, two parents, a four-year old, a one-year old and an uncle went into a wonderfully open house on the ocean near Kailua-Kona and didn't want to leave. They were lucky to be at Lucky42. Being an easy walking distance to the kids' beach made this location special for our grandkids. The pool at the house was an added plus, although the solar heater was not working while we were there. The house easily accommodated our set of people. The upstairs master suite was perfect for the grandparents, the separate upstairs bedroom worked well for the uncle, the four-year old enjoyed the bunk bed tucked in on the first floor, and one of the first floor bedrooms had dark enough curtains so the one year old could nap/sleep easily with his parents close by in the other bedroom. The large living room with fully openable doors brought in the delightful Hawaiian air and gave easy access to the pool (but required a vigilant eye on the one-year old crawler). The kitchen was well equipped with new appliances and the table big enough for our full group. We ate many meals there, also used the grill outside, but enjoyed the island's restaurants as well. Would highly recommend this house for a family vacation.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 10-day stay in this beautiful home. It has been well maintained and was spotless, and we had no issues during our stay beyond some minor issues lighting the bbq. The infinity pool is unheated, but was warm enough to be pleasant even in March. The neighborhood is quiet with good walking, with a decent walking and cycling route out the bottom of the neighborhood to get to Alii Drive. Our adult children appreciated having their own bedrooms and bathrooms, and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen is spacious, and we enjoyed family meals on the lanai with lots fresh fish on the bbq. We plan to return for another relaxing stay!
Keauhou Estates Hale Kuhinanui Way
We stayed in this home for a much needed getaway from our busy schedules. I had read in several reviews in which people mentioned that the pictures did not do the house justice & I must say I agree. I loved how the walls opened up to allow for an open air environment, exactly what you come to Hawaii to enjoy. The view from the house was spectacular & is in a safe gated community which we really enjoyed. It was a great location close to many amenities and beaches & a perfect landing point if you want to explore the island. The concierge was very attentive & friendly, overall I really have nothing bad to say about this vacation home. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
My husband and I took his parents and our two children (8 and 5) and stayed at Hia Place for 7 nights. We all agreed that it was true paradise! It's located centrally and is extremely private, very clean, well stocked, gorgeous grounds, very comfortable! The master bedroom and bathroom is amazing. There are only two things that weren't perfect. The beds in the two other bedrooms are small, pretty sure they were full size and there is no air conditioning in the main part of the house, which is not a problem as long as you're sitting at the pool. It does get hot inside during the day but cools off beautifully at night. It has an open air floor plan which allows for air flow so we weren't really bothered about not having A/C in the main part of the house. I can't say enough good things about this place and the property management company. While we were there the grill wasn't working so we had a new grill the very next morning. I mentioned that the coffee grinder wasn't working and I had a new one within a few hours! The concierge service that came with the property was amazing as well! David, who was our concierge, helped us with everything that we needed. This is definitely worth the money spent. Check in and check out was a breeze and the pool was ideal! My kids were in at the second they woke up until bathtime at night. If you're thinking about renting this place...just pull the trigger! It's worth it!
Our family had a great experience renting a home in Kailua-Kona with Kona Coast Vacations! Everything went as smoothly as humanly possible. The house was everything the pictures promised (and then some) and the concierge was so extremely helpful in planning activities for our family of 5. All emails were promptly responded to & overall, just a top notch experience! Would definitely book through them again!
