Kona Coast Vacations are great hosts! We stayed on the Big Island at our favorite property managed by KKV. Their communication, during booking, pre-arrival, out stay and afterwards was clear, complete and supportive. They are highly responsive to questions worked closely with us to resolve minor issues that arose during our stay. I highly recommend KKV--we have already booked our next visit to the Big Island with them!

Thank you for an absolutely magical vacation in your beautiful Aloha Place. Please pass on our praise to the owners for the perfect design and attention to every detail in their lovely, well-maintained home. We enjoyed the backyard so much that we spent more time enjoying the pool and lounge chairs and the stunning view than at the beaches! As other reviewers have mentioned, the property is every bit as beautiful in person, if not more-so. From the quiet, gated neighborhood, to the spacious rooms and bathrooms to the outdoor showers, fun koi pond, and the gorgeous pool, this rental is an opportunity to truly unwind. We visited in July, during higher / muggy temps, and managed fine with open screen doors and fans.
For future travelers, here are a few recommendations from our 3 trips to this area of the Big Island that we didn't see on all the travel blogs:
Don't miss Kua Bay! For the perfect day at the beach, this calmer bay is ideal. We go back repeatedly to enjoy the clear water and gorgeous sunsets.
Black Rock Pizza and Scandinavian Shave Ice on Ali'i Drive are winners for families. Ask for a punch card at Scandi's. Park behind it for free parking.
You'll only need one day (or a partial day) at Volcanoes National Park, unless you LOVE geology or a lot of hiking.
The best family spot to enjoy in Hilo is Carlsmith Beach Park.
A great snorkel tour or chartered catamaran is worth it for easier, safe snorkeling. If conditions allow, Paiwi Bay has great coral and fish in one spot.

This home is perfect if you want a private getaway. The home is beautiful l and the pool is outstanding. While you are away from the more popular beaches we enjoyed getting away from it all with the beaches still being accessible with a short drive. You will have beautiful sunsets from the comfort of the home rather than the crowded beaches in the north end of the island. My kids enjoyed feeding the Koi Fish in the morning and evening. Would definitely return to this home.

Aloha Place is a magical property. This is our second visit and we plan to return next year as well. Kona Coast Vacation management of this property is stellar. Great communication and spot on execution of a well managed and maintained property. While the Big Island is fascinating to explore your stay and time at Aloha Place is likely to be it's own highlight of your vacation. Crossing the koi pond to enter this beautiful home we first walk in and open all of the walls. You can then sit back and enjoy the most magnificent sunsets from the living room, pool, hot tub, or from the owners suite. Don't miss the upper property and Buddha statue under the Monkey Pod tree. Here you will connect with the land that is the Essence of Hawaii.

Pictures on booking page shows how beautiful this home is, but when we arrived we were so overwhelmed that we couldn't believe. It's a such a great entrance with beautiful stone way over nice Koi pond. Ones we stepped in house, we were just WOW! Am I on Bali, Hawaii, Heaven? 3 great bedrooms, each with its own bath, gorgeous living room (trust me, you'll spend very less time here), specious kitchen and now....... Pool! Did house owner reading my mind. So good. Beautiful, repeat, Beautiful Garden(s).... You'll explore it by yourself. I could recommend it to everyone who have ever dreamed to be in Heaven. We spent 10 wonderful days at Aloha Place. The location on the side of the mountain overlooking the ocean is just breathtaking. Always had cool breeze & very comfortable. The house is gorgeous! The pool, spa & lanai areas were well utilized. The entrance way to the house was on top of an incredible koi pond. We all loved feeding the koi each day. Truly a Hawaiian paradise!

The Aloha Place is an amazing property! Located in a secluded neighborhood with incredible views of the the Ocean and beautiful Kona sunsets! The home is spacious and nicely decorated with comfortable beds and furniture throughout. The pool area is incredible!!! The property is massive... with a backyard garden that includes lime trees! Our family loved every second of our stay at this amazing property! The pictures on VRBO are great, but it is impossible to due this place justice in pictures... I highly recommend the Aloha place and can't wait to revisit!

For us this house really made the trip. The pool backyard area was like our own private Resort. Loved being able to feed the koi fish in the front and having plenty of space to relax. Only downside was it got a bit hot at night without AC, but we made do with fans. Pool time was a daily activity and so nice during the sunset. Really going to miss having coffee in the am and cocktails at night on the back patio while taking in the beautiful view. Will remember this place above all others.

My family (spouse & our 3 boys aged 5, 9 & 11) just returned home from a wonderful stay at Aloha Place. It was everything the pictures promised & more! Set in a quiet neighborhood (but not far from necessities like the grocery store, etc) you feel like you are by yourself at a private resort. The house is laid out really well, no space wasted & a really nice flow. We loved eating at the table outside by the pool so much we decided to cook in (or pick up a pizza) the majority of the nights we were there. We all loved the pool, hot tub & my boys especially loved feeding the koi fish in the front entrance. The beds were comfortable & appliances were all great. Plenty of towels & quality linens. It was our best vacation ever & we can’t wait to go back. Also, I have to mention David, from Kona Concierge, who helped us with all of our activities. Without him, the trip would have been much more stressful! He helped us choose the right excursions for our family & each one was absolutely perfect! He was quick to respond every time I asked questions & was really just a fantastic bonus to an already fantastic booking/house. It was a great experience!

Mom, Dad, 7-year old boy and 2 year old girl. Plenty of room for everyone and then some! The pools are spectacular and the house itself is what dreams are made of. We were trying to think of one thing that could make it better and we couldn't think of a single thing. Hard to find reasons to leave but when we did, we loved Jackie Rey's Ohana Grill and Mahai'ula beach (be sure to have a 4WD to access it). The concierge was wonderful, and our entire experience from beginning to end was smooth. We ended up renting a crib and some indoor/outdoor toys from and it was perfect.

Definitely better than the photo's this authentic Hawaiian home was beautiful and comfortable. The weather on the hillside was a little disappointing while we were there. Morning sun until noon then cloud cover and slight rain, but it was a welcome relief from the heat of the lower lands. The neighboring resident rooster crowed like clock work from 4:30 unit 8:30 and felt like he was just outside the window which didn't bother my husband much but was a noise nuisance to me. We loved the home, location and outdoor space with pool and hot tub. We will definitely go back and would recommend it to a friend. Date of Stay: 3/14/17 to 3/22/17

An absolute dream house. Where to start? First off, very much appreciated booking through VRBO and Kona Coast Vacations, no troubles at all with the booking and all information received for us to have an enjoyable 6 nights. The house is even better than the pictures. The owners clearly put a lot of thought into it. All pictures are accurate, but its so mich better to see first hand. 3 bedrooms, lots of indoor space. The kitchen is well eqipped. The outdoors reflects the beauty of the house, with infinity pool, jacuzzi, BBQ, lounge chairs and ample spaces to relax and take sun or enjoy the magnificent sun sets. The only downside is leaving. Truly want to take this house with me. Date of Stay: 1/6/18 to 1/12/18
WAY Better Than Photos

As stated in the title, photos do not do this place justice. Every little detail was there. The support crew, who were easily reachable at any time, were just fantastic answering our questions. Further, the concierge service provided with the rental (David) was so friendly and helpful it really made the whole trip so perfect. As it turns out, my sweetheart and I chose this place to elope. We have shown some of the photos to family and friends and they think the images were photo shopped. They have said there is no way it is really that nice. But it is. We slept with the doors open and screens pulled and were lulled asleep by frogs and woken in the morning by birds. Such a paradise. We hope to make a tradition of returning to celebrate future anniversaries.

Absolute perfection! We have rented a number of vacation houses in the past and Aloha Place blew them all away. The online pictures cannot do reality justice - the home is exquisitely designed and decorated down to even the smallest details. The landscaping and outdoor spaces highlight the amazing view over the Kona coast and capture the sunset every evening. So fun to feed the koi - the biggest I have ever seen! Just an incredible place to relax and unwind with our family of 5. It was hard to justify leaving some days. I cannot imagine a better, more beautiful experience.

This is an amazing place. This home is absolutely gorgeous and has everything you could possibly need for a beautiful relaxing vacation. The master bath shower is awesome with no shower doors and you can even enter from the outside. There are also two showers outside that are so serene and private. We cooked many meals at home and the house has everything. The pool and spa and waterfall were so relaxing with an infinity pool overlooking the gorgeous blue ocean. The house comes with a concierge and his name is David and he is the BEST! I contacted him many times for food suggestions as well as surfing lessons suggestions and an ocean experience. He suggested great places to eat and he set up are surfing lessons as well as our snorkeling with the dolphins. We had an amazing time and it was a bonus staying at this house and working with David to set up our excursions. Thank you very much for sharing this home with us. Thank you Kona Coast vacations for all your help. And thank you too David at Kona concierge for all your help in making this a beautiful 50th birthday for my husband and I.
