Aloha, our stay at Casa de Emdeko 306 was fantastic! The supplies were great and the condo was wonderful. The only thing that was missing was the availability of some beach chairs that we would have used. Mahalo for the stay.

The unit was in a great location and with beautiful views. The television caused us to need to contact the managers several times and really got frustrating. The technician would fix the problem at the time but then the next day we were to needing to call again.

My parents stayed in this apartment and found it well-equipped and the perfect place to finish our trip to Hawaii! We enjoyed whale-spout sightings and sunsets from the beach, played games at the pool, and sipped coffee from the lanai. Perfect! We stayed in a unit across from them and it worked out great!

Nice Stay!

Had a nice stay over the holidays at this condo. The pools and the on-site beach area were great. Used the gas BBQ one night and it worked as it should. Location was alright, we wished we were slightly closer to town but it the 25 minute walk still wasn't bad. Only complaint is that the beach amenities could be improved. There were no beach chairs and the umbrellas were almost non-functional. While it is understood that these were not advertised we have found them to be standard when renting a condo in Hawaii.

Perfect for a months stay for 2. From this unit you look down on the garden, fountains and its birds, rather than the busier pool areas. You can sit on the lanai even in the heat of the day as its on the shady side of the building. We cooked/BBQed all our meals and ate them on the lanai. Especially loved the saltwater pool oceanside. This unit is one of only a few with elevator access (no stairs.) The condo is an easy walk to Kona and 45-min drive north or south to the best snorkeling beaches on the island. The management company was exceptional in its responsiveness when small issues arose. We've booked again for next year. Small suggestions: needs a drying rack for wet swimuits and a couple of beach chairs.

This place is great, will definitely stay here again. Just out of the huddle of Kona, but a 5 minute drive to stores and restaurants. Love watching and listening to the birds. The people here are super friendly and treat you like a long lost friend. The room is sufficiently stocked with everything you need and more. The bed is super comfy. Strongly recommend! Aloha!

Good location, close to Kona town but not too much so you still get tranquility. There is a small convenience store located in the complex which was handy for last minute purchases(both food and drinks !). The complex had two nice pools and a "artificial" beach with long chairs if you just want to relax by the water under palm trees. Everything was as expected and the unit included a bunch of small things that made our stay better : Cooler, beach umbrella, snorkelling gear, boogie board, beach towel and all kitchen cutlery/small appliances you could need. Would definitely rent again from Kona coast if coming back to the Big Island. We rented unit 306 in Casa de Emdeko and we were 2 adults and 2 kids(6 and 9).

Great location and views. Loved the salt water pool facing the ocean. This condo had nice extras like a closet with a cooler and ice packs, a boogie board and snorkel gear, and beach mats and a beach umbrella. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely Stay

Overall, we had a lovely stay in unit 306! The ONLY thing that I found disappointing was that the deck of the unit. It was covered in bird poop and dirt when we arrived. I spent an hour on our first day sweeping and scrubbing the deck so that I would feel comfortable sitting out at the table. The furniture on the deck could also use an upgrade or just a good scrubbing. The positives were definitely the casa's location, environment, and the salt water pool is probably one of the best! The king bed is also a huge plus!

The place was spacious, well furnished with all the kitchen amenities and lots of towels. It even has a beach umbrella and mats for us to use. We got excellent instructions to the place,. We got in late and there wasn't enough parking inside the gated premise but we found ample parking just outside the gate.

Clean. Nice TVs. Great lanai. Comfortable furniture and bed. Fans everywhere and central AC. Kitchen had all necessities. Switches all labeled. Good decor - not a bunch of annoying nick backs! Towels were insufficient.

Comfortable and quiet, great location

Really loved this upstairs unit and property as a whole. It was very quiet and calm. Mostly older folks staying or living there either part or full time. Many people gathered at the sea wall every night at sunset for drinks, dinner or simply to watch the beautiful sunset. We rushed home each night so we wouldn't miss it and enjoyed mingling with others. Good partial view of the ocean from the lanai. Comfortable king sized bed. Sleeper sofa was nice.

We always stay at the Casa de Emdeko condos when we go to Hawaii. Casa de Emdeko # 306 was well furnished and comfortable. The only negative remark about the condo is the bathroom arrangement. Fortunately it was only my husband and I staying at the condo. Enjoyed the well kept grounds and beautiful flowers plus the salt water pool. It was good to see a gate to drive through on the property. We stayed in another unit last year before the gate. I was getting a bit concerned when a few people using the facilities didn't appear to be staying there. All in all it is a wonderful place to stay and we enjoyed #306. It is well kept and has everything one would need.

Although this isn't a top of the line unit it was clean, comfortable and very efficient for two people. You could tell the owner really did their best to include small comforts that made it very much like home or like you were renting from family or a friend. It was also very quiet with the elevator very close which was nice. Many of the guests were long time visitors which gave it a community feel. The salt water pool and the layout around it was really terrific. There is no washer and dryer in unit but the complex laundry was clean and easy to use if you wanted too. Parking was a little challenging especially when you came in later in the evening but one call to the management company let us know we could park in the parking lot outside the gate. Walking into downtown Kona is possible (less than 2 miles) but Ali Blvd is really busy these days so be prepared for traffic nearly all the time. We would recommend this unit to others for sure and are hoping ourselves to go back to Kona next year and this unit will be on the top of the list.

The apartment was very well kept and clean. Our favorite part was eating on the porch with a view of the ocean. It was a short drive to restaurants and stores so it was very well located. I would definetley reccomend staying here.

This was my families third time staying at this lovely relaxing oceanfront spotlessly clean and comfortable home from home ( and I never stay anywhere twice!).The beds are fabulous,the kitchen is well equipped and spacious for the 4 of us.With ocean front,security,spotless and spacious grounds,elevator and peaceful people.Could not fault the booking or place and we will be back!! Our stay at Case De Emdeko was very enjoyable. The unit was clean and in good repair. The kitchen was completely outfitted with cooking implements, pots, pans, and dishware. While spices were not guaranteed we had a full complement.

If you like poke I highly recommend Da Poke Shack just a couple minutes drive south.

My husband and I and a group of friends each have a condo Casa de emdeko in January. We loved the common eating area with grills & tables and chairs both in the sun & shade. The central garden & pool area is lovely and brings bird song & provides palm trees for shade. Other guests long time and short-term were friendly but we were able to enjoy our privacy also. Kona Coast Vacations was very responsive & helpful for all our needs. The building is older but quiet and well maintained. We can recommend this property and the rental company with confidence. And we love Kona even if we do end up driving a lot.

Great time on the Big Island

We had a great time staying in unit 306. It is not a huge condo but was big enough for my wife and our 12 and 3 year old and a great value. The pull out bed in the living room is actually comfortable. We had all of the pots, pans, and plates we needed. We loved using both of the pools and watching the waves crash at the seaside pool. The patio area near the ocean was great and we cooked out every night on the gas grills while watching the sunset over the ocean. The complex was very clean and the people were friendly.
