This property is FANTASTIC! The rental is beautiful, comfortable and clean, with plenty of space and absolutely gorgeous views of the ocean and nearby golf course. It's stocked with everything you need for a beach vacation, including towels, chairs, umbrellboogie boards, football, and on and on. It's also stocked with plenty of supplies … dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, plenty of hangars in the closets … and thoughtful “extras” including luggage racks in each room and large floor fans. We loved it so much that we booked again for next year. The pictures shown on the rental sites are great … but the actual property itself is even better!! The property manager, Kona Coast Vacations, was wonderful! Check-in was simple and easy, and Kona Coast went above and beyond to help us secure a late checkout since we had a red eye flight the night we checked out. When we arrived, there was a beautiful and generous welcome basket with all kinds of delicious Hawaiian goodies, and we had no issues during our entire stay. We frequently stay in vacation rentals and have had all kinds of issues, from non-working refrigerators or other appliances, bug problems (namely cockroaches in Hawai'i), non-working a/c, etc., so we've learned to expect to have to deal with some type of issue as part of a vacation rental. Therefore, having no issues at all was fabulous!! Kona Coast was easy to work with and very quick to respond to our emails requesting late checkout and inquiries regarding rebooking for next year. This property manager is great, and I wish all vacation rentals had property managers like Kona Coast. The rental is located in the incredible community of Hali'i Kai. This is our favorite place on the Big Island, and the Hali'i Kai property and grounds and views are incredible! The Ocean Club is also a huge bonus … fantastic food, lovely setting and ocean views, and best of all AWESOME people, many of whom have worked there for years. We love Mary Gail, Kathy and Daniel, who have all been there quite a while. The newer employees were also very nice and did a great job. The chefs know their stuff, and the food is wonderful. Thank you all at the Ocean Club from the Vance Family!!! :-) Finally, it is helpful to note that the Hali'i Kai property is very centrally located. Hali'i Kai is located in the Waikoloa Village area, which has everything from restaurants to shops to hotels. We love it and can't wait to visit again!

Yes, we had a great time on the Big Island! We are even considering returning next year for a longer stay. Unit 8G was exactly as advertised and was terrific. And booking through Kona Coast was a great money saving move. It was overall a great trip and we will be back.

Great unit with three king beds for three couples!We have stayed in numerous units in this condo community and noted that This was the most stripped down kitchen. There was a Costco spice rack. No salt and pepper, no coffee filters, and only five Tommy Bahama Beach chairs for six people. Just thought it should be noted for future guest so they can prepare.

We loved our vacation at the Halii Kai. 8G fits our family of 6 perfectly (this was our second year here), and every day we worked out at the clubhouse looking at the beautiful view. The unit had so many helpful items like beach chairs, a cooler, boogie boards, and sports equipment that we appreciated. Very attractive decor and comfortable beds. Mahalo

We had a wonderful recent stay at the Hali'i Kai Unit 8G. Our group of six adults really enjoyed the king sized beds in every room, and every room having its own bathroom (both things hard to find amongst vacation rentals that are mostly geared towards families). The unit was extremely well equipped with everything we needed--a well-stocked kitchen, and lots of beach gear. The resort area itself was very quiet and relaxing. The pool was amazing, and the food/staff at the restaurant/bar were fantastic. My husband and I travel to Hawaii a lot, and this was the best condo we've stayed at to date. A special shout-out to David. He was incredibly responsive and helpful. He was able to get several members in our party set up with an amazing horseback riding adventure. The only bad part about our stay was having to leave 😅 Mahalo for a truly memorable trip!

This Condo Was Outstanding

Everything about this condo was outstanding! With a family of 6, we fit very comfortably. It was very spacious, meticulously clean and organized. We really appreciated the beach equipment and cooler that was provided. We enjoyed the games, TV, BBQ and especially the view. We loved having the lawn to run around on and throw the ball around with our teenage kids. The clubhouse, and rec area was beautiful! They had live music some nights out by the pools and it was just magical. We used the outdoor gym in the mornings and enjoyed our morning walks around the pristine grounds. A very short drive or even a walk to some amazing shopping too! Highly recommend. We will definitely be back!

Great location, fantastic views of the ocean, golf course sunsets right from the balconies. Property is well maintained and gated. The unit was comfortable, very clean and well decorated. Fully stocked with all the accessories to make your stay complete. The clubhouse has a gym, pool, restaurant and bar. And BBq's to cook your own meals. I highly recommend this location.

Our trip to Hailu Kai 8G was fabulous. We appreciated the beach chairs, the boogie boards, the ice, chest, and all the wonderful furnishings in this unit. Having a washer and dryer was terrific. Having our own barbecue and lanai that looked out on the ocean was fabulous. We were very comfortable and we loved the use of the pool, the restaurant and the bar. We've already booked for next year

We stayed at the Hali'i Kai. Loved the resort, the only drawback is that they have an amazing pool and beautiful views from the pool area but absolutely no shade if you want to hang out right by the pool. Please put some umbrellas or some type of cabana that offers shade.

We had a wonderful stay in Halii Kai, condo 8G. Three bedrooms, three full baths, spacious living & dining rooms, great kitchen, two balconies with ocean views! The condo was nicely furnished and very clean. We appreciated the laundry room and closet full of goodies, like snorkel gear, beach chairs & towels. Kona Coast agents were all very helpful and friendly. They even gave us a late checkout to accommodate our late afternoon flight. Highly recommend!

We couldn't have been more pleased with our rental at 8G. The townhome is extremely manicured, beautifully decorated, and has absolutely everything stocked: deluxe toiletries, linens, all the beach gear you need (don't even pack it!), extra bedding and spices, books and board games, laundry soaps and baskets, even aloe vera! All of the furniture inside out was very comfortable and well made. We felt very regal staying in this unit. Next time we come this is the unit we will rent!

Comfortable for everyone

We were so happy with his property. It was quiet and clean and spacious and really comfortable for everyone. I loved that the kitchen had everything we needed, including Tupperware for taking snacks and things to the beach. Home had everything we needed. A little irritating to pay for the resort passes each day when we really did not use it at all other than the keys to get in the gate. But everything went well and we were super happy with the concierge service help info as well!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We ran into a little snag with hot water due to wrong installation, but once we solved that it was smooth sailing. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai watching whales and golfers and loved the pool/clubhouse area, especially during happy hour.

Have stayed at Hali'i Kai many, many times so totally knew what to expect for property. This home had great furnishings, gorgeous wood floors, a kick ass AC unit, and was well maintained. Loved the two lanais and appreciated all of the room and original artwork. Will definitely book this property again. Only thing that could have been better was faster wifi. We used a lot of data. View Was Breathtaking!

We were thrilled with our stay at Hali Kai 8G. The condo is expansive with plenty of room for our group of 4 adults. It easily could have had another couple or children. The beds were all king size and very comfortable and I have never stayed in such a well stocked condo. Between the kitchen and the pool/beach accessories, we had everything we needed. And the view from particularly the upper deck was just breathtaking. We loved every minute of our stay including the grounds, the lovely pool area and the easy walking in many different directions. We had a glitch with our fridge going out and the property managers were right on it making sure we had a back up fridge that day. Pretty impressive! We would definitely stay here again.

The property is absolutely beautiful and exactly as pictured in the photos. The sunsets on the lanai were the best I have seen and different every night. The pool was more beautiful than any of the surrounding hotels as well. Don't forget to get your mai tai's at Happy Hour!! Also, Kona Coast vacations was fantastic to deal with. Our unit in the Hali'i Kai resort on the Big Island was amazing. The layout was perfect for four adults and two teenagers; the furnishings were way above the usual vacation rental and the view is what will spoil you! Overlooking the 7th hole with a direct view to the ocean and amazing sunsets. The Ocean Club on property is super with a great pool, restaurant and bar at your fingertips. The location is terrific on the island and for the unit in the complex - great trade winds. We had a terrific time!

The house was AMAZING! The most well outfitted rental we have ever stayed in. Smart TV, working clean barbecue, beach towels and chairs for use, stocked with spices... the list goes on. Incredible view of the golf course and sunset from nice patio furniture, the pool and workout area were beautiful and clean, property restaurant was delicious, and so many shops nearby. The concierge service was OUTSTANDING. Couldn't have picked a better location and would absolutely recommend and stay here again.

Stunning views, as advertised. You have to have those views. We took a lot of perfect sunset pictures. Clean, comfortable. Choice gated community, very high end, very private. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. Some beach supplies provided which was great. Private pool with food service was convenient and relaxing.
