A bathroom door also leads directly to the tropical outdoor shower.
Primary Suite 2
Located on the opposite end of the home, this private suite includes a king bed, large closet, TV, sliding glass door access, ocean views, and access to the large hammock. The ensuite bathroom features travertine, granite, and an oversized walk-in shower.
Primary Suite 3
Adjacent to Primary Suite 2, this bedroom has its own private entrance from the courtyard for added privacy. Guests will enjoy a king bed, TV, sliding glass door, large walk-in closet, and a private bathroom with a floor-to-ceiling travertine shower and granite countertop. Due to its separate entrance, this room is not suitable for children.
Bonus Room
The former media room has been converted into an additional sleeping space with a California king bed. There is no TV in this room.

We had a wonderful time staying at this house with my two kids and grandparents. the main living area is spacious and comfortable. Very easy inside/outside living made occasional rain no big deal. The kitchen has everything you could need to cook elaborate meals, the pool and hot tub are well maintained with lots of toys for the kids. Beds were comfortable and the house was clean. No complaints and would stay again!

This property is gorgeous. From the breathtaking views to the large, open concept common area with comfy sectional, large table and fully retractable wall to the pool area, it was the perfect place to celebrate our daughter successfully beating cancer! (Woo hoo!)We had 7 adults and the space accommodated us perfectly. The bedrooms were spacious, comfortable and three of the four bedrooms had their own bathrooms. The kitchen had a large refrigerator with a second refrigerator on the patio. We cooked several dinners at the home and had everything we needed. We even had a chef prepared dinner the last evening which we highly recommend. The views from the back of the home are spectacular. Stunning sunsets and a gentle breeze make it the perfect location. You can go "up the hill" a mile and there is a quaint town with coffee shops, gift shops and a restaurant. Going down to Kona takes about 10 mins where they have a Safeway, Walmart and other groceries and restaurants. It is also close to the ocean for snorkeling, charters, etc. and beautiful golf courses. The property includes access to a concierge service, Kona Concierge, and David was extremely helpful in setting up adventures and making recommendations. Everything we did was incredible and it was nice to have someone help us make reservations.The only downside was that the kitchen faucet was finicky and didn't always stay on, we reported it and it sounded like they would replace it after our stay.

Our stay was fabulous! Highly recommend. Well appointed kitchen. Comfortable beds. Outdoor space incl. pool, hot tub, grill, tv, dining area, hammock, as well as resort style pool lounges. Gorgeous outdoor shower, koi pond. Quiet neighborhood. Indoor space fabulous for gathering and hanging out with our group. Bedrooms roomy and private. No air conditioning. Plenty of ceiling fans, extra fans and mountain breezes. Truly a fabulous place to stay!

This property was one of the best I've ever stayed at. Me and my friends had a fantastic time! Was a little worried with the no A/C but during the day we were either in the pool or not at home. At night with the windows open and a fan blowing it was great. Driveway was big enough for 2 SUVs The view is absolutely amazing. It was like something out of a movie and we have never seen anything so beautiful before. Just for the view alone would be worth booking this house. The house is stocked with every cooking utensil and appliances you can think of. Met all of our needs. Outdoor grill was very nice spot to hang out while we cooked some steaks and watched some football. Four king beds was perfect for all of us. Pool was amazing and nice and cool. Great way to cool off during the day or at night. The hot tub was very relaxing at night just before bed. Bathrooms were very clean and stocked well. Master bath shower and Jacuzzi were amazing. Didn't know a shower could have so many shower heads! Not sure I can go back to having just one! Only complaint would be that the cold option for the showers would be warm and not cold. Hard to take a cold shower. Not sure if that is a Hawaii thing or the house never having been here before. One other thing would be that the night stands were a little dusty. But that was easy to wipe down with a towel. Otherwise we had a great 8 days here in Hawaii and we can't wait until we are able to come back! :)

IO Way just outside of Kona is a truly beautiful, truly unique property. The house, the setting, the view, the pool, the hot tub, the location (easy drive to all of Kona's attractions and not too far from Volcano National Park and Punalu'u black sand beach, 20 minutes from the airport), etc ..., are all extraordinary. We cannot recommend this place enough. We did not want to leave at the end of the week.

This was by far and away the best property we have ever stayed at. Unbelievably great views from all over the house. The open floor plan opens to the outdoors and the beautiful infinity pool and waterfall hot tub and the stunning view of the ocean from atop of the hill. Wonderfully situated, well-appointed, very clean, very distinctive. A true slice of paradise. We did not want to leave.

The property is a dream. The views can’t be beat. The home is spacious and was perfect for our two families, both with younger age children. Second to the view we really loved the shuffle board! We spent many hours in the hot tub. My only complaint if I could have one, is that the pool is not warm/heated. The home is up in elevation and it’s a bit cooler than at sea level (which is nice after a day at the beach). I realize this is a luxury request and may be relative for many and may vary with the season. I only mention it in case it’s important to someone else too. We made great memories in this home and we were all very comfortable. We would stay here again.

Beautiful property with fantastic views. It was a family affair with all of our kids, which made it the most memorable, best holiday ever!!!!! We had a couple of issues with the property, but the staff at Kona Coast resort properties were exceptional and quick to reply to our needs. Leah and the team were extremely pleasant to deal with. We had 6 adults and one small child in our group the the house had great spaces for everyone. The hammock was a hit! The kitchen seemed much larger than the photos and allowed multiple people to do what they needed there. We saw whales out in the ocean (at a distance) every day. The neighborhood was quiet (except for the tree frogs) and we enjoyed taking a coffee tour/tasting nearby.

We enjoyed this home immensely for our 9 days on the Big Island. Location is great, close to Kona/ kid friendly beaches, very quiet neighborhood, unreal sunset views. We especially loved the pass through window from the well stocked kitchen to the pool area. Pina coladas anyone? Another thing we all loved was the hot tub being warm all the time and the tropical outdoor shower. The kiddos loved the koi pond, waterfalls into the pool, and appreciated pool toys and DVDs. Beds are comfy and there is good separation of space. Also, David was amazing with recommendations for date nights and all the activities! We would gladly stay at this property again.

My family of 8 stayed here for our Hawaii vacation and it was perfection! It literally felt like our own private resort. We spent countless hours in the incredible infinity pool and hot tub. The kitchen was fully stocked and easy to manage. Quiet neighborhood and close to the beach, restaurants and shopping in Kona. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of linens and towels. 10 out of 10! Highly recommend and will book again!

The beds were all very comfortable, and the bathrooms were fabulous — check out the outdoor shower off the master bath! The house is high up (beautiful views!), but convenient to town and hiking trails. Highly recommended!

Words can't express how fabulous this home was for our family group of 8 - parents and young adults! The location provided security and privacy, but was a quick drive to restaurants, grocery stores, and local beaches. The house itself was exceptionally equipped - the indoor and outdoor kitchens especially - and the shuffleboard table was a huge hit and source of intense daily competitions. We loved sitting by the pool, opening up the wall of sliding doors and relishing in true indoor/outdoor living, all with an incredible view of the ocean in the distance. And of course, sunsets were absolutely incredible. The beds were comfortable, with the exception of the weird “my pillow” pillows. The koi pond, the outdoor shower and the beautiful landscaping around the property, including fruit trees, were added benefits that all added up to a home we would eagerly return to.

The house was fantastic. Rooms were so amazingly large. The hot tub was so fun. Kitchen was well stocked. Only issue is pool was super cold and not heated. But I guess that pools in Hawaii are not heated. The house is truly fantastic and would recommend it to anyone.

House was beautiful and well equipped. Some items worn and need replacing such as towels and pans. Beware of coqui frogs that kept us awake. This is a problem on the big island. Location was great for restaurants but about 45 minutes from the nicest beaches. Would definitely recommend this rental.

What a wonderful place to stay. My favorite thing was the roll away doors to the pool patio area. I would open them up as soon as we arrived back and let the breeze in. We used the house as a staging area for the bride on the day of the wedding! What a great place to stay. Pool and hot tub were also wonderful!

This house was absolutely fantastic. The views, sunsets, pool and location were perfect. We hardly went anywhere because the place was so nice to relax, swim, lay in the sun. We had wonderful cocktails and great food we cooked ourselves. The beds were comfortable, kitchen was awesome and the outdoor bbq, awning and bar were such a treat! My grandkids had a blast in the pool and hot tub. I can't convey how perfect it was for our idea of a nice, relaxing place to spend time with our grandkids. We've been to the Hawaiian islands many times but have never stayed in a place that was as perfect as this. The owner has great taste and the rental company was ready to help if we needed anything at all. I would highly recommend staying there and I hope we can go back again someday. Our biggest and only problem was that two weeks went by way too quick! Truly a gem!

This house is every bit as wonderful as it looks in the photos. Beautiful large spaces including a luxury kitchen with more than enough cooking utensils and appliances. The grill area outside was great — so nice to sit and enjoy a mai tai while the chef was grilling. We played shuffleboard every night. There are numerous board games and the TV is fully loaded with On Demand etc. (although the only thing we watched was the X-Games and a UVA basketball game — too many other wonderful things to do!). The showers were hot, the pool was cold and the temperature in the house, with breezes blowing through the floor-to-ceiling sliding doors and the ceiling fans whirring quietly, was perfect. Guests are provided with plenty of beach towels and a large chest outside contains pool noodles and floats, beach umbrellas, a small boogie board, sand-castle tools and some snorkel gear. We enjoyed the local red-headed birds fluttering and bathing on the edge of the beautiful infinity pool. The view is incredible, and we found binoculars in a drawer for a bit of whale-watching (we saw several!). The management company provides a booklet with plenty of info about the house and shopping, restaurants, beaches, etc. They also left us a welcome bag with some Hawaiian cookies, honey, chips and more. We had a wonderful stay, and if we are lucky we will come again!

Kona Vacation

Overall, this property is extremely nice and well maintained and located reasonably close to town and nice beaches. House is well appointed and had a great pool and views. Indoor and outdoor cooking setup were great. Had every utensil/appliance/dish you could need. The doors and fans work great to open the home up and cool the place too. Lack of AC was not an issue which was one of my initial big worries. Only a couple of issues that would have made me select 4.5 stars if possible (settled on 5 stars because the house is so nice and the property management company was very responsive). The views are slightly obstructed by two new properties being built across the street and down the hill - though we were disappointed by this and worried about construction noise at first it ended up only being a minor nuisance. You can see the lots being built in the photos so you have to imagine a house in those photos - look like single story dwellings though. (One was at framing stage and the other was foundation laying during our stay in early/mid July). The other issue was we had a surprising number of appliance issues given how nice the house is. The fridge wasn't cooling properly and we had to call on that - ended up a recurring issue where we reset the breaker which seemed to work. The dishwasher broke at some point (easy enough that a slightly handy person could fix it), and probably most annoying was we had several clothing articles damaged in the dryer so caution if you are using the dryer for more delicate items. It was also a bit odd given how much the rental costs that we weren't given control of the pool fountains and they were purely set to a timer. I get it that people are irresponsible and energy is expensive in Hawaii, but it would have been nice to have control so we could turn them on and off (especially to drown out some of the construction noise). Maybe an on button with an auto shut off would be a better solution. Overall these are pretty minor nits and both families thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We would consider coming back for sure.

Our stay at IO Way was fantastic. Beautifully appointed kitchen, a view that was amazing and a pool we spent many a day by. Any maintenance issues were handled promptly and professionally. Our family of 6 adults and 2 10 month old twins was very comfortable and would definitely recommend this to any one looking for a great family spot. Would have enjoyed some air conditioning but the large screened walls that led to the pool were awesome for cooling. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Only thing I could add is you need another guest book. The one at the house is full!! And we did use it for prior guest recommendations.

The property was just as described. Kitchen was beautifully appointed with any thing and every thing you could want. We had a few maintenance issues that were addressed very promptly. No responsibility of the owners but most likely never reported by previous renters. 6 adults and 2 10 month old twins were very comfortable and spent many a morning and evening watching the sun from the awesome pool deck. Water temp in the pool was fantastic! It was very hot and humid and we would have loved AC but we managed with the full wall retractable screens and supplied fans. We would definitely recommend this amazing property.

Wonderful property. All was as described in listing and actually better. there was 3 couples and each had a master suite which leads out to backyard. We spent all of our time outside taking in the gorgeous view. House is also very well equipped with everything you may need. We had an amazing time. Highly recommend this property

The IO Place House was absolutely incredible and perfect for our family vacation. The kitchen was missing nothing! I can’t say enough about this house. From the koi pond to the huge master bedroom and the gorgeous pools to the beautiful sunsets! Kona Coast was awesome to work with. They were so helpful and made the entire rental process simple. We would use them again!

My wife and I with our in-laws had a wonderful family vacation in IO Way - the place is spectacular, in a wonderful setting with all the space and amenities you could ask for. Kona Coast Vacations are fantastic, very responsive and helped us whenever we had any trouble. The photos don't even do justice to the surroundings. The house and all the rooms and outside area are all very spacious - I would recommend this property to larger families or groups wanting some privacy in a stylish space with amazing views. Would definitely return!

The view is just stunning, especially at sunset. The three main bedrooms are ideal with their en suite bathrooms and sliding doors to the beautiful backyard (and the master is massive). Our kids enjoyed bath time in the big master tub. The pool and hot tub are where we spent a lot of our time. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious. And the indoor-outdoor living area is just spectacular! We couldn't have been happier and hope to return again.

Perfect accommodations for our family for the Christmas break. We were 8 adults and 3 toddler boys. Lots of space to spread out and everyone (especially the boys) enjoyed the pool. Everything from the well stocked kitchen to the spectacular views made the house a perfect fit for us.

This property is breath taking. From the moment you enter the grounds you immediately feel relaxed and right at home. The ocean views are spectacular. The grounds are much larger than expected. The infinity pool, waterfall features and lovely spa are a highlight of the home. Cooking was a joy in this fully appointed kitchen and outdoor BBQ area. The home is so spacious and comfortable, we truly never wanted to leave and in fact cancelled most of the activities we had planned and melted in this lovely environment.

The grounds and pool were gorgeous and the home was so well appointed, even better than the online pictures. When we come back to Kona, this will be our place to stay. David and the rest of the Kona Coast Vacation staff were so friendly and accommodating. Recommendations were spot on, from restaurants to day trips, zip lining, snorkeling, etc.

We want to thank you for inviting our family to stay in this beautiful home. The views were breathtaking with the best sunsets on the island. It was equipped with anything you needed and more. The layout was perfect, a house we would want to build someday. The kids had a great time in the pool. I know reviews spoke to the coolness of the pool, but it was fine, and the little jetted area got really warm with the “warm blaster” button. We enjoyed rinsing ourselves off in the out door shower after a day at the beach. Although this house is not on the beach, I’d much prefer this view and visiting different beaches. It seemed like there were zero bugs bothering you, so enjoying the outside was great and having the walls opened up was stunning! Thank you!

This review is for the property at IO Way in Konya, HI I’ll just put the bottom line up front. If this property is within your budget just book it. It’s spotlessly clean and everything is very high quality and high end. It’s well furnished with lots of extras. The infinity pool and spa are wonderful. The master suit is huge. The bathroom has dual rainfall shower heads and a glass door leads to an outdoor shower! (See photo). The view is awesome and the landscaping makes you feel like you are staying in a botanical garden. This property is something that a movie star would book. I would add that this is for responsible adults. It was completely quiet at night. No dogs barking, no car sounds, no slamming doors, no music, nothing.

We fell in love with IO way the moment we arrived, and were never disappointed! It is the most peaceful place to be at! From the views to the pool to the hot tub, we loved coming home at the end of a busy day and just relaxing! The rooms were perfect for our family, and the kitchen was stocked with many high-end appliances and extras. I would stay there again if I could! Even though it's not on the beach, we actually enjoyed the view better, and loved getting away from the crowds. David at Kona Concierge did a fabulous job of picking out the best activities for us. The morning snorkel and dolphin cruise was fabulous, and they even stopped so we could follow a mama and baby whale! Ate dinner at Jackie Rey's at the recommendation of the property managers, and it was excellent!

This was our second visit to Kona but had the pleasure of brining 2 other couples with us that have never been to Kona or Hawaii for one couple. The views were spectacular. The house was very impressive. A lot of mountain climbing with the car but worth the trips. Last stay we were water front and I enjoyed this location better plus the privacy of our own pool and outside grill etc. Would have liked the air conditioner working for several of the says but overall very nice home. I brought my kids and their significant others for a week of Hawaii. This property was just like the pictures. The view, pool and hot and kitchen where amazing. House and yard was well kept and very clean. The only thing that would have made it better is if the pool was just a bit warmer. So we did spend more time in the hot tub. Also the BBQ needs some maintenance. The beach, stores and tours we took where only a 5 to 10 minute drive away. The Kona Concierge they provided us helped with all our questions about where to go and what to do. We would definitely book this place again.

This property is not only luxurious but has outstanding ocean view from all rooms and is decorated with the feel of Hawaii! Plenty of great amenities to start your stay. You can swim all day in the infinity pool or your just minutes away from other activities, beaches and restaurants. I would highly recommend this home and absolutely would stay here again when we come back to visit this gorgeous island. So much to see and do here!

From the moment we stepped through the door, we knew we found the perfect location on the Big Island. The house is beautiful and the decor is just perfect. The kitchen was well stocked and the outdoor space is gorgeous. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us, and we enjoyed the pool (although a bit cold...) and the hot tub. It was an overall great location as all activities were just a short drive away.

Everything at this home was immaculate! The views were amazing, property management and support were top notch. The built in grill had some issues, so before I even arrived they had a very nice grill already there gassed up and ready to go as a replacement. Would have been nice to have the whole house sound system - but I understand the neighborhood has noise rules, and renters can abuse those. The biggest problem we had was lounging around and enjoying the house too much, and not seeing enough of the island!

The home was wonderful for my whole family. The view is outstanding, along with the pool, hot tub, and fish pond. The kitchen was very spacious and well stocked for us to prepare meals. Everyone loved the bathrooms with the lovely showers with multiple spray heads. I would recommend this to anyone who are looking for a larger home.
