I absolutely love Ali’i Drive In Kona. this location was perfect. There is a snorkeling beach right across the street. You can see it from the lanai beautiful sunsets. I prefer white sand beaches to hang out on, but my husband loves to snorkel so we went to the white Sandy beaches and he had access to great snorkeling 5 min away. Also the pool at the condo was perfect. I personally did not have a problem with it being on the third floor with no elevator, Once you get your luggage up and your groceries up, you’re good to go. Really I only have one complaint and that is the room with twin beds in it. The TV is old and outdated, and it kept losing the sound you would have to keep shutting it off and turn it back on for the sound to come back on, and I couldn’t log into any of my streaming channels. Thank goodness it was just adults and not the grandkids because I would not have been able to put on their programs. We stayed for 11 days and I like to be able to put stuff in drawers and hang stuff up in the that’s not an option In That bedroom. The closet is used for storage vacuums, and such. Now will this prevent me from renting this place in the future absolutely not. I will make sure that they’ve updated the television, but I can live with the lack of room. Someone just gonna have to give up some of their closet next time. Left Hawaii came home to 18° weather. I’m ready to go back already lol thank you Kona Coast.

We absolutely loved our stay. The unit was clean and comfortable and really lovely, and the location across from an incredible beach for snorkeling and surfing could not possibly be better. We snorkeled a few times a day, and a few of us tried out surfing. It was really lovely being able to shower off outside afterward and then enjoy the pool and hot tub as well. Literally the only thing that I would add to this unit is an inexpensive drying rack for the balcony. We were traveling with another family, who rented a similar unit below us and that also really worked out well. Mahalo for a beautiful stay!

The condo was clean, sweet, and very comfy. We enjoyed the weather, turned off the a/c turned on the fans, and opened the doors for sweet plumeria-scented tradewinds. The area is deeply historical, I encourage everyone even thinking about staying here to read about the heiau's across the street and the history of the immediate area, it is deeply enriching to the experience. The condo is right on ali'i drive (the main road) which was busier than I thought it would be so we had to laugh at the amount of road noise and daily leaf blowers, but it's been some time since I've stayed in Kona town. I grew up in Puna so it was the most "city" experience I've ever had on the island, but the ability to walk across the street to a very safe beach for snorkeling was totally worth it since I was there with multiple generations of family. Thank you to the ohana who rent out their condo, it was a very pleasant stay, very convenient, we spent all our time at the condo on the lanai. Mahalo!

let me just say, we love loved loved our stay at Kahaluu Beach Villas 303. The 3 bedroom 2 bath condos was stocked with extras like snorkeling gear and beach chairs. The views from the Lanai of the Kahaluu snorkeling beach were incredible and it was just a quick jaunt across the street to snorkel and sunbathe. The snorkeling was great! Our concierge through Kona Coast Vacations was communicative and very helpful. The condo was just perfect for our family.

This condo and property management company exceeded our expectations. The home was well appointed, and we had no trouble cooking in an unfamiliar kitchen. Eating meals on the balcony patio was a highlight of our trip. As it is on the third floor, there are many steps, but our 80 year old mother went up and down them just fine. The street noise was a bit loud at night and walking to the shopping center was a little too far, but the ocean view was priceless. We enjoyed being just steps from Kahalu'u Beach which has lifeguards during the day. This was a plus as we are unexperienced snorkelers, and the water can be dangerous and difficult to swim in. The management company (Kona Coast Vacations) was extremely helpful and responsive. The saltwater pool and spa (chlorine) was nice as well. We did not want to leave, and hope to come back someday!

The location was good, centrally located on the west coast of the island and right across the street from Kahaluu state beach. The kitchen was well stocked and grocery stores were convenient.

Kahaluu Beach #303 was a truly wonderful place to stay! Great view and great location, right across the street from a beautiful snorkeling beach! We went with professional divers who own dive shops and have traveled to many different locations. Even they said that this place had some of the best snorkeling they have ever seen. The condo was clean, beautiful and had everything we needed. Shopping center was only 3 mins away so it was easy to pick up anything we missed. And the Kona Coast concierge service (David) was awesome in helping us arrange activities! We hope to stay here again!

Overall, it was a great location, really nice condo but we lost A/C for over a day/night and it was unpleasant. We had problems with pool/beach key which were resolved in less than 24 hours. I would recommend the condo.

Beautiful location and excellent views from the lanai. However, the furniture is a little dated and in one of the rooms there was no dresser accessible to store our clothing. It was locked. It's on the 3rd floor with no elevator and a little challenging for my elderly parents and we could've used an umbrella and beach chairs during our stay but we were aware of that when we booked! Overall, we had a nice stay! Mahalo!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Kahaluu Beach Villas. The apartment was impeccable and perfectly suited for our family of 5. The location was terrific - Kahaluu Beach Park is one of the best snorkeling areas for beginners on the Big island, and was right across the street. Overall a very convenient location for exploring the Kona coast. The drive to Volcano national park is relatively long (80-90 miles), but that is true in general from anywhere on the Kona coast. The local management team was great. We would definitely stay here again.

This property is exactly like in the photos, except the photos do not do it justice. We stayed at 3 properties on 3 different islands, and this was everyone's favorite. The location is ideal and the pool and hot tub are directly below the balcony so everyone can stay connected. Everything was absolutely perfect!

This condo had plenty of space & was very cozy, clean and comfortable! We enjoyed having coffee and eating on the patio each morning and evening & watching the beautiful sunset each night. The location was GREAT! There is a grocery store and plenty of restaurants within minutes. The snorkeling right across the street was incredible!!! Plenty of sights to see nearby - loved our drive north to the Pololu Valley. There was some donated beach gear in closet - chairs, pool noodles, snorkeling gear, beach toys. Beach towels provided. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of kitchen utensils and appliances to make cooking easy! We definitely enjoyed our stay!!
Snorkel Right Across the Street

Such a convenient location for snorkelers like us. We loved being able to snorkel right across the street. Two-step was only about 20 minutes to the south, and the restaurants in Kona were only about 20 minutes to the north. The places that do night swims with Manta rays are also just a few minutes away. The place was clean and had plenty of space for our family of 6. This was our 4th trip to the big island and this is the best place we've stayed yet.

The location here is gorgeous - right across from a terrific snorkeling spot. We had two young kids and grandma with us and the space was ideal- comfortable with plenty of space and extra sand toys, pool toys, and beach gear. The on-site pool and grill area was also a wonderful amenity. The only thing to know - there IS AC but it automatically turns off if any door or window is opened. That's perfectly reasonable but isn't written down anywhere so we spent the first few days with all the windows open thinking it was broken. It was March so keeping the windows open was pretty pleasant, but just thought we'd give others a heads up. Highly recommend this sweet spot!

The condo was part of a great complex with pool, spa, and grill. While we were inconvenienced a few days by painters on the lanai, it wasn't a great impediment and showed that the HOA takes pride in the complex. I would definitely stay here again.

As a frequent traveling group, this was one of our favorite rentals ever! Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped, with everything we needed, plus more! We loved eating breakfast on the lanai porch, and watching all the walkers and joggers in the morning. We had dryer issues on day one. Within hours it was repaired! There is a trolley stop out front that took us uptown to the restaurants and shops. The only downside is that it is on the 3rd floor, without elevator access. We loved it so much that if we ever make it back to Hawaii we will try to rent this property again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent vacation in Kona! Our Kahaluu Beach villa had everything we needed, and was in a great location. It was a 5 minute walk to Kahaluu Beach for swimming and snorkeling (and our condo included towels, chairs and snorkeling equipment), and it afforded terrific views of the sunset every night from our 3rd floor lanai. One of our favorite, and most relaxing, activities was having our Kona coffee in the morning as day was breaking ... just perfect.
KCV Concierge David was so helpful to work with in the months & weeks leading up to our trip, helping us plan and schedule our itinerary during our stay ... Mahalo David!!!
Lastly, Anytime and Every Time we connected with the KCV Team they were caring, helpful and fun to work with.

The listing is spot on, this is a spacious condo located in a great location on the island. It's got 3 bedrooms so it's perfect for groups or families. It comes equipped with lots of donated beach gear, games, and kitchen items to make the stay even more convenient. It's across the street from beach access and in a great spot for going north or south on the west side of the island.

Location is exceptional. Perfect for friends and family getaway. Lanai overlooks the pool and beach, which is perfect for snorkeling, swimming and stunning sunsets. Hourly city bike rentals just a block away if you want to explore the coastline. Slept 2 couples and 2 singles comfortably. In Keauhou, which is a few miles north of the city, which is perfect for me from a congestion standpoint. The Keauhou Shopping is blocks away and is extremely convenient with a KTA grocery, Long Drugs (ie CVS/Walgreens) and restaurants (Tropics, L&L Hawaiian, Thai and Mexican food just to name a few). Will book this place again when I come back.

We had a fantastic top floor, corner unit condo overlooking Kahalu’u Beach Park. The unit was nicely decorated, well-stocked, very clean & conveniently located. We watched the sunset from our balcony every chance we could. We were close enough to Kailua-Kona to head into town for dinner, etc. but away from the congestion. A large supermarket & a coffee shop were just a few minutes away. Kealakekua Bay & Two Steps (excellent snorkeling) were also not far away, and we got to drive through the Kona coffee region to reach both. The concierge team at Kona Coast was also very helpful and reached out before our trip to provide some info & suggestions.

Our stay was wonderful. It was everything we were hoping for. Being able to walk across the street to the beach that offers snorkeling, surfing, and boogie boarding was super convenient. The location was fairly quiet. There is road noise (to be expected being right on Ali'i Drive) but there were fans in the closets for white noise and wonderful light blocking window coverings in the master. The place was extremely clean, and the property management company was excellent. They were quick and responsive and were flexible with adjusting check out time when our flight was delayed. Terrific place, for a larger group. 5 members of our family and had great space. We certainly appreciated the great view and convenience of the beach across the street. Plenty of amenities, large patio, well stocked kitchen, bathrooms stocked and good size, plus use of beach towels and some beach equipment. Quiet and convenient to so much. Great walking area!

Stayed at Kahalu'u Beach Villas for four nights in June 2021. Loved everything about the villa very clean and comfortable. It is on the third floor with no elevator. The view of the beach from the condo is absolutely beautiful, awesome sunsets right from the lanai. You can walk right across the street to the snorkel beach, which is super convenient. This was one of the main reasons for picking the villa. We spent most of our time on the lanai relaxing. Loved the pool it was never too busy and is a very inviting temperature. Only thing I would like to have been provided more laundry detergent as we were given 3 Tide Pods. Our stay here was day four of our trip and previous was a hotel, so we all needed to do laundry (4 adults). The condo rules are that if you have excess towels of what is provided per person (1 bath towel, 1 face towel, 1 wash cloth and 1 beach towel) you will be charged extra cleaning fee. So I had to go buy laundry detergent, kind of inconvenient. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Excellent property - comfortable, well-appointed kitchen, great A/C, super convenient location. Bedroom and bath layout was perfect for our family. We rented surfboards one block away and the teens were up at sunrise EVERY morning surfing. Safe beach and we could watch surfers from the lanai. Bike rental kiosk steps from condo. Rode to Kona. Great mexican, pizza, and thai take out in Keauhou shopping center, less than 1 mile away. Easy and plenty of parking at condo. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay at this property - check in was convenient; amenities were as expected and the pool with adjacent BBQ was perfect - the pool was always empty so it felt like our own private space. The road noise from Alii drive was louder than expected which made use of patio and keeping windows open at night challenging. Can't beat having snorkeling and the beach one block away.

We had a great time in this unit. Plenty of space, functional kitchen, great view from the lanai. Pool is lovely. Barbecue was plenty big for cooking dinner. Only small negatives are that the laundry/dryer are loud (better to use during afternoon while away then at bedtime), and third floor makes for plenty of stair climbing (though we knew this in advance). Location across the street from Kahaluu bay is perfect, not too far from grocery & shopping, but also far enough away from Kona town center to not have to deal with that crowdedness.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The location and view was amazing. The master bed was a little painful for us but if you like a soft bed you are set. We wished there were a few more spices to cook with as we did eat in a few times. Overall though it was wonderful and we would stay there again.

We loved our stay at this property. We had everything we needed to prepare our meals and wash our cloths. The beds were very comfortable and we had plenty of room for our family of 6 to spread out. Our favorite spot was sitting on the balcony sipping our morning coffee. The location was great. The beach across the street was perfect for snorkeling and surfing. The was a drug store and grocery store less than 5 minutes from the condo. The air conditioning working great, although we only used it to cool the condo at night. Since the condo is on a busy road, keeping the windows open was not an option for us. The management company Kona Vacations was fabulous to work with. They were responsive to any needs we had. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone. Thank you for letting us enjoy your home!

We had a great stay and the property was much better than we thought.
Our only recommendation would be to have some cold refreshments in the frig. E.g. water. Since most people had a long flight and by the time they get to the unit and the heat of the day that would be great.

Who could ever get tired of the view from this property?! Accommodations were very comfortable and exactly as seen in photos. Just a quick walk across the street for some of the best snorkeling, and we saw more there than on the tour we paid for, though access into the water is a bit tricky, as there really isn't any sand to water entry but definitely worth the effort! The unit was very welcoming and comfortable for all five adults in our party. The location was great and a bit off the beaten path but that's what we wanted. Just a note: the school bus stop is directly on the corner below the unit and the kids are quite vocal in the morning! Everything was beautiful and comfortable about our stay. You won't regret booking your stay here unless three flights of stairs pose a problem for you. Just wonderful!

Our family of 6 adults stayed at the Kahalu’u Beach Villa #303 for 3 nights. The house was great,clean and spacious, plenty of room for everyone to relax and chill out. All linens and beach towels were provided. The location was great, just across the road from Kahalu’u Beach park. We really enjoyed our stay there. I would strongly recommend this house to everyone.

Great location just across from good snorkeling and surfing. Condo in excellent shape and grounds are very well kept. Nice small pool with view of ocean and well maintained. The condo kitchen had all necessary cooking utensils and great dishwasher. The lanai has wonderful view of the beach so you can watch the surfers. The shopping center with grocery store, Long’s drugs,movie theater and restaurants 5 minutes away is very convenient. Close to coffee and chocolate farms. A quick 10 minute drive to downtown Kona and all of its shops and restaurants is also a great feature. The street below is not noisy at night. It made for a wonderful family Christmas vacation.

This was a beautifully decorated unit, directly facing the beach. The owners did an incredible job of paying attention to detail, and decorated the unit with so many high-end, extra special touches. It was also spotlessly clean. I would definitely stay at this unit again (#303). The only thing I would caution future renters on is that the unit is on the third floor, so people who have difficulty with stairs may want to consider a lower unit. However, the view from the third floor was lovely and I highly recommend this unit to people without any mobility issues.

Great! Kitchen had all we needed. Beautiful lanai. Good to be across the street from a great snorkel beach. Suggestions: Only the master bedroom had drawers to put clothes. The smaller bedrooms had no dressers, just closets and the bedroom with 2 beds had a closet with lots of beach gear and not much room for clothing. The storage cabinet was locked so the only space was the bedside table or floor. It's nice to unpack your suitcase and feel at home. Also the two beds were shorter than a twin size. The last day we figured out you can move the headboards to get a few more inches. Date of Stay: 1/14/18 to 1/21/18

We had a wonderful week stay at this great condo, located directly across from Kahalu'u beach park, one of Kona's best snorkeling places. The condo was comfortable, spacious, clean and well provisioned with 4 adults and a one year old. Onsite parking was sufficient. The pool, hot tub and grounds were well cared for. Prior to my stay, David from the concierge service was helpful with several emails. I would definitely consider staying here again. The only drawback is the walk up, no problem for most adults but a bit of a challenge for the 90 year old with us. Date of Stay: 2/24/17 to 3/3/17

Our family vacation to the Big Island was incredible. Our 3 bedroom Kahalu’u Beach Villa home was a perfect fit for our group of six (2 kids, mom and dad, and grandparents)! The gorgeous property was spotless clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed cooking in the beautiful kitchen and eating meals on the lanai with nice ocean views. Our kids spent a lot of time in the refreshing pool when we were not off on an adventure! We even got to BBQ one evening down by the pool and enjoyed the spa. We had a wonderful stay! Thank you!! We loved the condo. It was right across the street from a fabulous snorkel spot. We enjoyed having our meals outside, unfortunately they were remodeling the condo beneath us & the noise was a bit overwhelming. Hammers, drill & saws at 7:00 am is a bit early but we made the best of it. The condo was comfortable for the six of us, 2 couples & the kids shared the room with the twin beds.

This was a wonderful vacation. It was my husband and I and my adult son. The beach just across the street was a amazing snorkeling spot. The street was a bit load however that didn't bother us. The only reason I gave 4 stars on the condo, is because it was warm. The air wasn't very cool in the unit. We didn't call about it, we just slept with the windows open. However it was warm in the back of the property. The bedroom my son was in. They were very helpful before arriving with reference to things to do, reservations to make in advance. I loved it. Would stay again.

This is the third time we have stayed in this complex but first time in this unit and it was great. Lots of space, perfect views. This unit had lots of beach extras like snorkels and boogie boards. Only two minor issues: the twin beds in the one room are very short and not suitable for anyone over 5'2". And there were only 4 beach towels, two of which were very worn and significantly frayed. We recently stayed at the Beach Villas, in #1-303, a 3-bedroom penthouse unit. There are several condos in one building and this one is really lovely, has an amazing view and is just right if you want to stay right across from the beach but not spend a fortune. The condo was very clean and beautifully decorated. The rooms were just right for our famly and the lanai was absolutely the best spot in the house! The kitchen was perfect for entertaining - we just set yummy fruit and mai tais out on the big bar and everyone helped themselves. Having a full washer and dryer was nice since it gave us the luxury of having dry towels every time. The location is perfect - close to town and easy drive to any part of the island. Best of all, when we were not in the mood to go to the beach areas, the pool was the perfect place to lounge. The cost was reasonable - in fact, staying at a hotel would have been 3x the price, and we got to grocery shop in the local markets and enjoy food without spending a fortune. We loved this spot and will definitely rent it again. I do think it's important which one you stay in since they are all owned by different people, managed by different property places, and each with different views, decor and layouts.
