Interior Highlights

The comfortable, open layout provides plenty of room to settle in after a morning of snorkeling or a day exploring the Big Island. This unit is clean and spacious. Well equiped kitchen, bathrooms and beach stuff. Located nicely across the street from beach, snorkeling, surf boarding. Minor detail was that there was only one blanket in the closet for three beds. No comforters, only sheets. Other than that, it was wonderful.

SPACIOUS

This property had the perfect location, situated just across the street from the beautiful Kahalu'u beach park. The place is SPACIOUS, with enough room for 4 adults and 1 child. Great layout allowing for privacy (closet between the 2 bedroom/bathroom). Management company was very responsive and prompt. There was clear communication on amenities being basic, but I found it to be pretty generous and more than enough for us. Easy laundry access downstairs was awesome, especially separate units having their own. Note beach across is not supposed to be very sandy for folks with young kids. I really liked that there are only 3 units to the building (2 downstairs and 1 upstairs) so there's great privacy and less feeling of being in a crowded condo blocked in by neighbors. Downstairs was the laundry/parking, so no fear of disturbing neighbors with a kid running around. Upstairs unit footsteps, etc could be heard but that's expected, wasn't bad. Only suggestion was the guest bedroom bed is not super comfy while the master bedroom had an amazing mattress. Mahalo for a great stay, would definitely stay again!

Easy to access all parts of where we visited. Enjoyed access to pool noodles, boogie boards, etc. Kitchen was well stocked. Parking a large vehicle was tricky but always available.

This condo is right across from a snorkeling beach, which meant family members could go anytime they wanted (instead of everyone having to load into a car). It was much more spacious than we were expecting, and it was spotless. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Great property, would stay again

Overall, we were very pleased with the accommodation and cleanliness of the ocean-side condo. With the exception of a leak of the mountain-side bathroom tub faucet, which I measured at least a 1-quart leakage every 10 minutes. This should have been very obvious to the housekeeping staff, prior to our arrival. Also, we attempted to use the outdoor grill, which had multiple dead spots, making it inadequate to grill much of anything. Otherwise, I would highly recommend staying here.

Amazing! Steps away from beach with snorkeling. It had everything we needed and more. We cooked every day and there is a store a short drive away. The apartment was very clean, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. We had an issue with the lock and the management was very prompt fixing it. As someone said parking can be tricky (not pulling in, but pulling out), but I got used to it. It was great having a washer and dryer. Highly recommend this unit.

Many thanks - we really enjoyed our stay. We always stayed in downtown Kona before but really liked being able to go snorkel at Kahalu'u on the spur of the moment. The place was clean and we really appreciated that it had a nice supply of consumable toiletries - we have been places where we immediately had to rush out and buy soap or whatever.

I'd Happily Stay Here Again

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was clean and nicely set up, with a good supply of toiletries, etc. so we didn't have to immediately rush out and buy things. My wife was unhappy there was no rice cooker - but we bought one and left it there, so hopefully it will be there for others. We loved being able to walk out the door and be in the water at Kahalu'u in a couple of minutes. This unit gets good cross-breezes so we rarely needed to use the AC. You do have to be careful getting in/out of the parking with the support posts, but that's a minor annoyance. I'd very happily stay here again.

Very Nice Property

Very nice property across street from great snorkeling beach and historic area ( see sign in beach park). The beach gets crowded with snorkelers but there are lifeguards and even people giving advice about snorkeling (how to see the most fish, not damage reefs, provide anti fog spray ) at some times. A fair amount to see…. One day the life guards spotted a shark and got everyone out of water ( scary but glad they were watching and got great photos of reef-shark). Property is good size with parking underneath. Great lanai in front with own grill for our unit. Very beautiful plantings around property but that does limit ocean view somewhat. Property looked very clean but suspect floors need a deep clean since our feet got dirty from walking around unit. Great rec area in garage area with ping pong, foosball, and electronic darts which my preteens loved. Trundle beds and master bed comfortable but 2nd bedroom bed was not as good. Kitchen pretty well stocked with dishes and some spices in cabinet. Other properties had condiments in fridge and this one didn't …we did without this time. Overall nice place.

This property was gorgeous. The rooms were clean, kitchen stocked with everything needed to cook a meal, the view was amazing. The nearby salt water pool with a walking path right next to the property was very cool. I wish we'd stayed here longer before venturing to the other side of the island.

This condo is in the absolute perfect location for a family vacation. Super close to a trolley stop, bike rentals and across the street from an awesome beach. The fully stocked kitchen is super helpful if you're wanting to save money on food. They are very responsive with communication. Our only suggestion would be to provide more than 4 rolls of toilet paper for 5 guests for 14 days.

We had a great experience. 2 adults and 4 kids fit perfectly here with a little room to spare. We ate all our meals on the lanai. The neighborhood was very quiet. Clean accommodations upon arrival. Snorkeling beach just steps away (across the street). The only thing that would have been nice is a rice cooker and crock pot. But that would just be a nice to have definitely not a deal breaker. Hope to stay here again someday!

We loved our stay! The property is not fancy just nice and clean. It was very comfortable. We loved the space including the decks. The location is perfect, just close enough to Kona that you can rent ride a bike and ride or drive into town for dinner. It's also close to good surfing and snorkeling. Place was attractive, spacious, comfortable and clean. It is across the street from public park with snorkeling. Close to town and shopping. Cool breezes at night cooled the bedrooms down for comfortable sleep. No AC in bedrooms. Spacious lanai with some ocean view and table for al fresco dining.. Only little complaint was window screen in one bedroom was bent and a few flying bugs came in when lights on at night. Overall loved the property and will stay there again.

This property was exactly what we hoped for. It's across the street from one of our favorite snorkeling spots. It made our vacations so relaxing to be able to come and go to the beach so easily, run back if we forgot something, or take part of the family back for nap time. Check-in was very easy, the home was very bright and clean, and we had everything we needed including an excellent washer and dryer. we even use the barbecue to grill fish one evening and got to watch the sunset over the ocean. We can't wait to come back, and this will be our first choice for where to stay!

Great clean condo with all amenities across the street from the snorkeling beach was ideal. 2 bathrooms and bedrooms opening to a large living, kitchen and dining area provided both the privacy we needed and fun common space. The only suggestion may be to add one more air conditioner in the back bedroom (one window) but we were ok with the fans. We are already planning when to come again and stay in the same condo we loved it so much. Thank you.

This place is ideal. Easy walk across the street to Kahalu'u Beach park for excellent snorkeling, surfing or body board, and tide pool hunting. This was our 4th stay in Kona and our favorite place so far. Shopping and dining nearby at Keahou. Quick drive to Kailua-Kona for many dining and shopping choices. Includes beach towels, chairs, beach mats, toys, etc. Very clean and spacious condo. Very nice, large outdoor lanai with Fan. We loved everything about this place except the bed - Double foam mattress (not the tempurpedic kind) that was too soft for our liking, not enough support. Good for short stay - 5 nights, not so much. We will definitely stay here again (hopefully new bed by then).

We stayed with four adults and two children and the space was perfect for us. Basically right across the street from Kahalu'u beach, which has a snorkeling area on one side and a surfing area on the other. Bring water/reef shoes as the rocks are sharp and there are a lot of urchins in the crevices of the rocks. The only drawback to the location is that there are no stores within walking distance, but we did take the trolley from downtown Kona once and that was really nice. The house was well stocked with trash bags, lots of coffee filters, cleaning supplies etc and plenty of towels. The bedrooms are on the small side, but there is enough room on the floor to add a twin mattress (from the daybed) for a child. There is AC, but we only used it once after the house had been shut up all day, normally the breeze and ceiling fans were sufficient. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets from the lanai. Our kids had fun with the foosball table and we borrowed beach chairs, pool noodles and an umbrella from the carport. The wifi is very slow and tends to drop in and out a lot - but the TV has cable so we didn't really need to use Netflix for the kids like we would at home.

If your debating about staying here, GO FOR IT! Great directions and easy details. A very clean condo. Nice furniture. The beds were great - the best sleep we had on the island and we stayed at we other locations. Very updated and organized kitchen and all of the fixtures and furnishings in this place was well taken care of and clean. Only problem we had was the showerhead in one of the bathrooms and its spray. Loved the views and the chorus of birds in the morning was delightful. The snorkeling across the road from the unit was great & easy for even beginners. Great Deal & Place. Would book again - we were all sad to leave this location!!! Thank you for having us!!!

Close to beach park, nice views, clean and large place to comfortably fit 6 ppl. Short drive to town for food, shopping and entertainment.

Great location - not far from the highways, restaurants and downtown. Also a beach just across the road had lots of fish, and we even saw a turtle in the water several times. Good and clean inside, air conditioner in the living room - no A/C in the bedrooms. The only comment - the bed was too soft for my taste and I would prefer thinner blanket, as was pretty hot in our bedroom at night. ***This review was transferred from our old website to the new one effective Jan 1, 2017***
