Had an amazing stay here! The location is perfect being next to Kahalu’u Beach Park. We were able to walk down to the water for some relaxation or sunsets almost every day. Most of our scheduled activities were within 2-15 minutes of the spot (snorkeling, surfing, market). We loved how quiet the spot was while still being close to everything. Even with a family of 5, we felt things were spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend staying here.

Great open concept accommodation across the street from awesome snorkling. On direct (free) bus route to downtown Kona (10-15min) and 5 min to grocery store and restaurants. Fantastic deck from which to watch the sunset nightly. Place was very clean and the beds were very comfortable

What a place! We are a family of 6 that travelled to Kona for 10 days. This vacation home was perfect! Located across the street from a great snorkling beach, 5 min away from restaurants and grocery store, on direct (free) bus route to downtown Kona. The apartment was very clean and spacious. Open concept kitchen, dining room, living room. Beds were very comfortable and the space was spotless. There was a large deck from which we enjoyed the sunset nightly....would highly recommend!

We loved staying here. We were on the mountain side but still were able to have an ocean view from the front deck area as well as the back. It was a wonderful spot to return to after a long day out. The fans and AC kept it cool enough. It was central to all our needs and walking across the street to snorkel and surf was a bonus . There is a bbq on the deck that we used nightly for dinner.we got our daily walks in right on the road up to the local coffee shops. It was so nice to return to a place so convenient but not crowded. We will stay here again and again- property manager gets 10/10 for responsiveness and kindness. Met all my cleaning standards as well. For those wondering about beach items there were towels, chairs, snorkeling items and water shoes. That being said they don’t supply those items but were left by other guests.def a must stay!

We enjoyed our stay very much as it was really close to the beach and the turtles. It was nice and quiet and we had plenty of room. All the things you need are available so for us it was a wonderful stay!We came for the ironman so wanted to be close enough to Kona but still quiet. This location was ideal. Very easy to the center and very quiet. If we only crossed the track, we were at a small bay where we could snorkel with turtles and a reef. The host is very friendly and helpful and everything is clearly explained. We only had problems upon arrival with the lock that we are not used to.

This property was great and fulfilled our needs. It was spacious for 2 adults and 4 teens! We loved eating our meals on the lanai. Location was close to “downtown” Kona and a great spot for watching the sunsets. While it was nice to be across the street from the beach, we only went to that beach once. There’s just too many other beaches to visit. Plus, this one was very shallow for our snorkeling needs. The house had almost everything we needed. I would suggest adding just a few more small items to make it easier on families trying to pack up a daily lunch and cook for a family of 6. Those items would be salt, aluminum foil or Saran Wrap, plastic containers with lids for holding sandwiches/leftovers, larger pots for cooking things like pasta. The kitchen was well appointed but just adding these few things would make it even better. Except for the pot, I purchased all of these items and left the remains for the next guests. While it was nice to have a cooler available to use it was tiny and would not accommodate a family of 6. We rented one for cheap. I truly appreciated the use of beach chairs and boogie boards and not having to rent them. I’m not sure how much longer the beach chairs will last as they are well loved. I also appreciated not having to purchase things like tp, tissues, paper towels, trash bags, laundry soap, sponge and dish soap!! Very thoughtful that these items were provided and included extras! Overall, a great experience with renting this house!

Being within walking distance of the best snorkeling beach on the island was incredible and we took advantage of every opportunity! Booked a surf class that was within walking distance, too. Communication with the property manager was prompt and helpful. We've stayed in a lot of rentals and this, by far, had every supply we needed and more! Having AC in the main living areas and fans in the bedrooms cooled things off nicely. Washer/dryer is a big plus for families. Hope to be back again soon!

We had a great stay Kahaluu Mauka. Place was absolutely perfect! Great Value, Great location. The location is across the best snorkeling beach in Kona. Saw whales breaching from the lanai. It was totally quiet and private. Close to everything. There were 6 adults in our party and the unit had ample space for everyone. We would definitely recommend to our friends and family to stay here, and we would definitely come back.

This condo has everything you could want. It’s quiet and peaceful. The location across the street from the beautiful Kahalu’u lagoon makes snorkeling every day convenient. There were so many species of reef fish to enjoy; we loved that. We watched the sunset from the front lanai. We loved the large french sliding doors in front and in the owner’s bedroom, and the large sliding windows in both bedrooms. With fans and open windows, we rarely needed the ac. You can watch birds and geckos from the back lanai. A grocery store and pharmacy are close. The dining table seats six, and there are several couches and comfortable chairs. The laundry on site was helpful, too, as are the beach towels. It was roomy and relaxing whenever we came home.

We loved staying at this place! We are a family of 6 and had enough room for everyone. Two kids slept on the daybed (2 twin mattresses) and said it was very comfortable. The window A/C unit in the living area was much appreciated. The bedrooms got a bit warm, so we left the doors open and put fans to pull cold air from the living area into the bedrooms and that worked well. What was most notable about this property was its location right across from Kahalu'u beach, one of the best snorkeling beaches! You really can't beat this location. It's a short drive to Kona for shopping/dining and some of the best beaches like Kua Bay & Hapuna Beach are not far (35-50 min drive). There were snorkels, fins, chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards in the shared garage space which was great! Another wonderful amenity that we didn't know about until after we booked is the wonderful complimentary concierge service. David was super helpful with recommendations for dining and things to do, getting activities booked, and other questions during our stay. Would stay here again and highly recommend! Thank you!

The layout of the condo is perfect for two couples. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom to use. They are in different parts of the condo, so no embarassing run-ins in the middle of the night. The bathrooms are clean and functional. The living room and lanai gave us space to hang out together or get some private time. The a/c in the livingroom is powerful. We never missed having a/c in the bedroom, we just used the box fans to circulate the cooler air. And the kitchen had everything we needed - we cooked 90% of the time. And as avid snorkelers, we love this location. Kahalu'u beach park is a great spot to snorkel when the tide is higher. And two-step is just 30 minutes away. And some other snorkeling is north 30-60 mins away. Oh, and the condo was very clean - one of the cleanest we've stayed in. Bravo for the cleaning crew, and for the hosts for finding them! We would happily stay here again. Mahalo for a great 13 days!

Location was great but barely an ocean view. Even with directions difficult to find, didn't find the hand painted blue waves on the white fence? Disappointed the snorkeling beach across the street was closed the first half of our stay. The tvs didn't work. Had to call the manager several times to get the 2nd key. Once the maintenance guy came he was very helpful and fixed the screen door and replaced 1 tv. The tv in the bedroom never did work. Overall happy with our stay.

My family stayed here in April 2023 and had a wonderful time. The location is amazing! It's a short walk across Ali'i Drive to Kahalu'u Beach Park (public beach with great, easy snorkeling - also lifeguards, restrooms and showers), and convenient for other activities in the Kona-Kailua area. It's also a quick 5 minute drive to Keauhou Shopping Center (grocery store and a variety of restaurants). The unit is very nice, with comfortable beds, an A/C unit, roomy lanai with views of the beach, ping pong table, and a well-stocked kitchen. The management company even brought by a drying rack for us, when we asked. A wonderful experience!

We stayed at your place but we had a difficult time finding the place. It was dark, identifying landmarks were unclear There needs to say this place does not have an elevator. The sheets on my bed were paper thin with pill marks The kitchen was adequately equipped The bathroom we asked to have safety handles put in They put them in an awkward place The tv was hard to figure out I suggest they put lights on the address and the garage so we could find it It was quiet tho

Nice property super close to Kahal'u bay. The apt is perfectly situated to visit Kona and all the nice beaches close by. Also close to grocery shopping and other amenities. The lanai is perfect for spending time and there are some beach chairs for use.

Great time vacationing with our family. This property was perfect for the 6 of us, plenty of space, clean, no creepy crawlers and nice n fresh in the living room that has an AC. The rooms were fresh at night with the fans and windows open. Kinda nice to hear all the coquis in the evening and our son enjoyed seeing the lizards outside the property. Plenty of amenities available ( coffee maker, keurig, pots, plates, bowls, etc). Awesome snorkel beach across the street and easy trolly access to some shops and some of the best shaved ice at Gecko girls. We loved our stay and would come back again!

Being so close to the excellent snorkeling across the street meant that anyone in our group could enjoy the snorkeling at any time during the day - morning, noon, night, low tide, high tide, etc. No car required. The whole family enjoyed it from the most experienced to the beginners. The condo was comfortable and the management was excellent - looking after every detail, even contacting us to be sure all was fine.

The apartment was exactly what we wanted for the end of our bucket list trip to Hawaii! Sitting on the Lanai every morning and early evening, reading a book or magazine, became our perfect way to start and to end the day. The apartment had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable, and there was nothing amiss. Not only was the apartment in great condition, but we were just across the street from the Kahaluu Beach Park. David, the concierge, also helped prepare us for our stay with great ideas about places to eat, things to do, and the wonderful things to see. Wow! This condo is gorgeous! When we entered, the AC was on, as well as Hawaiian music playing on the large TV - very welcoming! Everything is in pristine condition and beautifully decorated! The open floor plan is wonderful! There are many windows and sliding glass doors for great views and sunshine! The kitchen, with table/chairs for 6, is wonderfully equipped with nice appliances and other amenities! I utilized the extra nook as phone/work space. All furniture was beautiful and Hawaiian style - beds are super comfortable. We didn't use the Day Bed, but it would be great for families. Each hall closet is fully stocked with linens and household equipment. Both bathrooms were great. Bedroom closets have space galore, along with suitcase racks. I didn't need the box fan since the ceiling fan and AC in the living room kept the entire condo cool and comfortable. The master bedroom has its own private lanai. When I looked out the sliding glass door, I saw plumerias blooming, as well as a gecko on the lanai to greet me! The condo has parking underneath. The washer & dryer are huge! There was also a ping pong table and water sports equipment. The front deck was huge and had a nice patio set. There was even a large cooler, if we needed one for Turtle Bay across the street! Location, location, location! I would definitely rent this condo again!!!!

The location and parking was great. We loved being able to walk to the beach with fantastic snorkeling. The BBQ came in handy for easy lunch. The size and space with the lanais were also so nice.
Just had a few suggestions. The beds were very hard and made my whole body ache. I had no idea a memory foam mattress could be so hard. The airconditioner did not reach the far bedroom at all. The floor was very dirty forcing us to wash our feet frequently. We always removed our shoes at or outside the doors plus the deck was dirty. It would have been nice to have a little snack basket with one coffee serving for the coffee maker some tea and some oatmeal or Granola bars as a greeting. The frying pans did not have flat bottoms and were not nonstick so cooking was difficult.

This is a great place to stay along the Kona Coast! Right across the street from the beach with ocean views from the lanai. The unit is well stocked with everything needed for an extended stay. The bedding was comfortable, and the open floor plan is very spacious. There are nice touches with the beach amenities, foosball table, and ping pong. Our family of 5 has a wonderful week on the Big Island!

This condo served us reasonably well for our extended stay over Thanksgiving. The location is great, right across the street from a nice snorkeling and surf beach. There are surf and SUP rentals about a block away. It's easy to get to Kona Town or to the South beaches and destinations. The one big complaint we had was the kitchen (Website hidden by Airbnb) was all very basic, like the whole place was stocked from an 'AirBnB starter kit'. The knives were so blunt they barely sliced meat. And the tv was kind of unnecessarily complicated to operate. Good, clear remote instructions would have helped. The ping pong table was a nice addition, we did use it once. There are laundry machines for each unit on the property (there seems to be three), but we had someone else's laundry or the cleaning crews laundry from another unit each time we tried to use it. We eventually found it available, but dont expect to have the laundry all to yourself. Other than that, the place was fine. Basic important things like AC, good hot water, water pressure - that was all there. If you're looking for a great location at a relatively inexpensive rate, no frills, then this could be the place for you. It's a good base for all the things Big Island has to offer on the Kona coast, but wont give you a warm, homey feeling, which is totally okay if you're just in and out.

We stayed as a family of five and were very comfortable. Kona Coast was very professional and helpful and check in was easy even in the dark after a long flight. The location was fabulous, right across from one of the best snorkeling beaches on the island. The beach gets crowded by mid morning, but we could walk over after breakfast and have the place to ourselves. Highly recommended!

The Unit was very clean and well stocked. Bedrooms and bathrooms were exactly as shown in the photos. Our kids used the ping pong table on the ground floor nearly every evening. We enjoyed relaxing on the lanai with a nice ocean breeze after snorkeling in Kahaluu bay. The best part: The location is fabulous! Fantastic snorkeling across the street, or only a short drive if you want to go to Captain Cook or Two Step. We used the condo as a base for exploring the island.

We loved the accommodations and the location (my sister's family took the condo next door, so our large family group had the whole second level). Our ice maker did not work, but Kona brought ice to our location and we shared with the neighbors; using their ice maker and sharing our ice. We also shared BBQ grills because the grill in my sister's unit wasn't working. Kona did come out and fix that within 24 hours or so. Our unit had some A/C issues which were also taken care of. The overall facility was in great repair with the exception of some of the horizontal blinds that I assume got messed up by other renters. Overall very happy with the location; however part of that was because our families had access to each others amenities when there were issues.
The location was great, and the space was spotless when we arrived!

We had an absolutely amazing stay here! To mention just a few things that made it special: 1) location: 3 min walk to the beach, 3 min walk to the surf shop, 10-15 min drive to Kona, 2) atmosphere: smell of flowers that you start to forget after living in the city for too long, birds singing day and night, view of the ocean, sound of the waves that you can hear when falling asleep, 3) amenities: spacious living room, comfortable bedrooms, super clean bathrooms with nice towels, everything was working in the kitchen and we didn't miss a thing like utensils for grilling. Spacious deck with the ocean view made mornings so special and evening hangouts (with seafood freshly grilled right there on the deck:) unforgettable. Our towels didn't dry one night since it's pretty humid in Hawaii, and the beach towels in the apartment came in very handy. Thank you, Kona Coast Vacations team! We'll definitely be back!

Our experience with Kona Coast Vacations was top-notch. This apartment was spacious, very clean, with full kitchen, and a large lanai with a view to the beach. It has two full bedrooms and bathrooms with TVs in each, as well as a large one in the living room. Their owners manual had good suggestions about things to do on the island. One of the best beach and snorkel areas is only one-hundred yards away. Another plus is a shopping center with grocery, clothing, and drugstore just one mile away. Covered parking was great. The apartment is centrally located along the west coast.
We highly recommend this apartment and Kona Coast Vacations. We look forward to staying here when we return.

This is a great place. One of the best I've ever stayed in. I am an Airbnb super host myself and this place has so many thoughtful touches! I can't list them all so the big ones are: super clean, fans in every room plus on the lanai, nice furniture and decor. extra pillows, sheets and towels. There were four of us, we cooked every meal during our 7 day stay and had plenty of dishes. Big fridge with ice maker, big kitchen with plenty of room to sit inside or out. Lovely extras like novels, cookbook, cards, sunscreen, some spices, fins, beach chairs and umbrellas. Washer and dryer! plus my favorite, an old fashioned accordian style clothing rack to hang towels and bathing suits on. Location is great. The beach is just across the street, you can see it from the Lanai and watch the sunset every night. We were there at high season so lots of people staying next door and behind us as well as the complex we were in but it was quiet. There is the sweetest little black kitty that hangs out. If you have extra food the lifegaurds on the beach are always hungry and grateful for any donations. They have a trailer with a fridge for when they take their breaks. We gave them a box of fruit and dairy that we had left. I for one can not throw food away. There are also numerous homeless around as well, I noticed every plate of food I put out at night was gone by morning.(at the beach and the little church next to the beach) Date of Stay: 1/11/18 to 1/18/18

This property was perfect for my 5 person family. Four of us love to snorkel, and one of the best snorkeling beaches on all of Hawaii Island is just down the driveway from the property. There are 3 units in this building. One larger top floor unit and two bottom floor units, one that faces the ocean and one that they call the "mountain side". We had the mountain side unit, and there was still a great view of the sea, the beach, and the sunsets. We just about lived on the lanai. We did a lot of cooking for ourselves, and the kitchen was well set up and well supplied with new equipment in perfect working order. Kona Coast Vacation was a great host. I would rent this property again in a heartbeat

A nice play to stay. You will need a car to get to the restaurants and shops in Kona. The beach access is nice for snorkeling, surfing and boogie boarding but not rally a swim beach.

The two bedroom, two bath condo provided everything needed to have an amazing vacation on the Big Island, plus extras that allowed dishwashing liquid, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent and much more. The condo was directly across the street from my favorite snorkeling beach, just slightly south of the Kona downtown, within minutes from shopping, restaurants, and other sight seeing adventures. We look forward to returning!

Great Condo just near Kahalu'u Beach - one of the best beaches for snorkeling on the island. You can just wear snorkeling gear, cross the street, enjoy lovely beach with a lot of fish in the morning, go back and drive off to visit some locations around the island and then if you wish, snorkel again in the evening. Really convenient!
Amenities were just great! Everything is really thoughtful for convenient stay (except of few really minor items listed below). Tons of towels both for shower and beach, fancy fridge with ice producer, rotating chairs to get under the table conveniently, dishwasher, a lot of hangers for clothes.
KTA store is just within 3 minutes of driving where you can get all needed food and e.g. microwave it or use conventional oven for better taste.
Some things that could be better:
* Parking slot is a bit challenging to use, need to drive super carefully between posts
* Locking the door was a bit of a challenge at the beginning. Need to push doors to each other really tight for it to work.
* Locating all the light/fans switches you need to turn off before going to sleep is another challenge. Maybe some master switch could be useful.
* Using Keurig machine for brewing tea with your own tea-bags was a bit inconvenient. Max temperature is 192F which is a bit not enough for conventional black tea. Regular kettle would be convenient in this case.
* Main garbage bin under the sink is too high and you can't put big items inside without moving it off.

Very satisfied for the price. Kona Coast Vacations should have turned on the A/C prior to my arrival. I had to sleep on the living room floor the first night because I arrived at 4pm and the A/C was not powerful enough to cool the bedrooms. Only one A/C for the entire unit so you must turn it on for a full day to cool the unit.
