This house was amazing. Not only did it smell incredibly clean, it actually was. The kitchen was well equipped. The yard/pool/patio area was even better than the listing photos. The space/size of house was perfect for our family of 6 to spend time together as well privately. Not having to bring/buy anything other than food made the price well worth it. We had a minor issue with lock upon arrival which was quickly resolved with the staff of rental agency.

The place was awesome! The back yard and pool were peaceful, the kitchen was great for cooking. It had everything we needed to make the stay enjoyable. In general the property was clean and organized. One thing to note is that one of the bedrooms had a strong mildew odor when the air conditioner was used. We would stay again. This was a great location with its proximity to Kona and other activities.

It was the perfect location for our stay. The house offers more than enough space and was perfectly clean. The agency answered all our requests extremely quick and could help us with all issues (before as well as during our stay). It is only a short drive to Kona and there is a small footpath that connects the gated area with Ali'i drive. We really enjoyed our stay and can recommand the house if you are travelling with a bigger group. One and only potential: The kitchen area could offer a little bit more equipment such as cutlery, cups.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Kamilo Place. The house was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. What a bonus to have a great view of the ocean and the sunsets! Everyone had their own room, bathroom and individually controlled A/Cs. Even in the Hawaiian winter we were happy to have A/C included at no extra charge. My grandson thoroughly enjoyed the pool. We used and appreciated the washer and dryer as well as the clothesline in the garage. We only had a couple of small issues and they were promptly taken care of by Kona Coast Vacations. I have rented both condos and houses through KCV many times and will continue to do so. Aloha and Mahalo, Francine and family, Fresno, California.

We spent 5 nights at this beautiful home on the Big Island. It is even better than the photos. The floor plan is perfect for a family/group stay, allowing for excellent gathering spaces and privacy when needed. A lot of our time was spent in the pool and on the lanai which are beautifully maintained and comfortable. We felt comfortable and safe to allow teenage grandson to walk around the neighborhood. There are umbrellas, coolers, and great pool and beach toys available in the garage.

We had a wonderful time and loved the house we rented. It was perfect for us. We really enjoyed the back porch area, pool and wonderful sunset views. The home was very nice, but also extremely comfortable. We found everything we needed to cook and with the exception of a decent bottle opener, plenty of dishes, pans etc.
Our family was celebrating my mother in laws 90th birthday, with her grandchildren and spouses, her son and myself. We visited many local state parks, beaches, Volcano National Park (which just happened to be erupting while we were there) and the town of Kona. Although we ate most of our dinners at the house, we had many lunches in area restaurants and found several nice coffee places for local brew. The pool was great and we used it daily to cool off and enjoy the sun!

We had a wonderful stay at Kamilo Place - the house was very clean, in excellent condition, and surpassed our expectations. The house was very well stocked, including kitchen items, and there were items that we had not expected but very much appreciated (ie a pack and play crib, beach toys, tupperware, etc). We were also able to check in slightly early and appreciated the responsiveness of your staff. We love the pool and location, and check in was extremely easy. Thank you again for an amazing stay!

This lovely ranch-style home was a perfect place to spend the Christmas holiday. All the rooms are on one level. We relaxed over coffee on the lanai, grilled steaks on Christmas Eve and enjoyed the sunset views every night. The neighborhood was quiet and well maintained. Kona restaurants and shopping are just a few minutes away. We also had access to beach chairs and an umbrella. Management services were convenient and well organized. We would definitely consider renting this home again.

This house was amazing! We've been to Kona several times, and this was our best VRBO yet! The bedrooms are nicely spaced for quiet and privacy, enough bathrooms that nobody is rushed or waiting, and a great pool! We had 8 people on this trip, and we will definitely be booking again.

The amazing fruit trees, and little quail family were a sweet bonus to the great yard!
The only thing we collectively would change is the pool temperature. It was definitely on the cold side, taking away the enjoyment of having a private pool.
Other than that, the layout was excellent, and I loved the peaceful neighborhood. We even got to enjoy some trick or treaters on Halloween 👻.

We recently stayed at Kamilo Place for 12 nights. It was a fantastic vacation for our family of eight. Great location, close to everything and quiet.
We have used Kona Coast Vacations the last three times we have vacationed to the Big Island. This place has to have been the "Best" so far.
The number of bedrooms and bathrooms were awesome. The pool was everything we hoped for on the Big Island. The grandkids and adult kids had the best time with a pool all to themselves. There was a switch inside for Pool lights, but they didn't seem to work.
Air Conditioning is a "must have" when coming to the Island. It was especially nice to have the bedrooms with their own AC units.
A nice number of pots and pans for cooking and items for baking. It would be helpful to have some storage containers for the leftovers. We also purchased and donated some hot pads and oven mitt to the house because we couldn't find any for when we used the oven.
Loved having the bigger table in the dining room that could fit all of us for meals when the mosquito's chased us inside. The Lanai gave shade and plenty of room for all. Loved having the gas BBQ. The landscaping was beautiful, the ocean view was wonderful.
Most everything we needed was in the garage for heading to the beach. We did purchase and donate an umbrella to the "Beach Needs" at the Kamilo Place House.
Our only suggestion for the house would be to put bathroom exhaust fans in the three bathrooms. The tile floors get pretty slippery with all that moisture, even with the ceiling fans going.
I also really enjoyed working with David the Kona Concierge.
We hope to be back soon and will certainly look to book this wonderful House again.

When our grandchildren were younger we could all stay in our condo. Now they are 18 and 14, and for the last few years, that no longer works. The house was perfect for the six of us. The lanai comfortable and the pool great for swimming. Pool toys, beach chairs and snorkel gear all available. It's beginning to need a bit of TLC but otherwise—Perfect!

Exceptionally clean, comfortable, layout wonderful for a mix of family and friends. The supportive items for meal prep were the best we have seen in prior experiences. There was nothing we needed that couldn't be found. The pool was delightful and enjoyed. Patio area delightful. Only snag: understanding how to get music to play. Arrived with music playing (nice welcoming touch) and then we never figured out how to get it back. TV/Movies available but we were not interested in those. Too beautiful outside to watch TV. This was the perfect spot for our group of 6. The outdoor space was fantastic for hanging out in the sun and patio was fully equipped for shade as well. Kitchen was fully stocked for cooking. Close to the action in Kona but away from the super touristy areas. We will be back!

The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and utensils. The beds were super comfy. The pool was great and we spent most of our time poolside. The outdoor furniture made it pleasant to be outside. What a wonderful gathering space for a family or group of friends! We highly recommend this property.

We had the most wonderful experience during our stay at this beautiful Kona Coast Vacations home. Everything about the home and setting was absolutely perfect.We were 6 adults (3 sisters and spouses) and everyone kept saying over again how great everything was. It was a perfect home base for exploring the big island. Close to so many things but a beautiful, quiet, relaxing 'home in a great neighborhood. And the people at Kona Coast Vacations could not have been more helpful and friendly. We highly, highly recommend this home and Kona Coast Vacations..

Overall the house was great; the pool Was beautiful and we really enjoyed it. My only complaints are the refrigerator broke and the property manager offered to put one in the garage, which I felt was unacceptable. It was a lot of money and the refrigerator should have been replaced where it was. In addition to it being an inconvenience it would have made it extremely difficult for my mom who is completely blind. After explaining and being firm they put a refrigerator in the same spot, even though it was a temp fix it worked. Also the master bedroom has a fly issue. I would be laying in bed and these little flies ( fruit flies I Think ) would be flying all over - on me, in the bed, and on my phone. It got to the point I slept in the room where my daughter was staying. That needs to be fixed. Again beautiful home, pool and good location, wish it was as closer to the beach. Other than those 2 things o would have given I a 5 star.

The pest company we use is very good at spraying but sometimes pests will follow the lights and enter. We would have been happy to send pest control for you so please know on your next visit that we are available 7 days a week if you need us. We are sorry you experienced an issue with the refrigerator during your stay, we did everything we could and brought a cooler with ice until we could get the backup refrigerator over. We hope you will consider staying with us again the next time your travels bring you to our area.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was beautiful, super clean, and very well stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies. I was concerned because I didn't check beforehand regarding our accessible shower needs, but was grateful when I found a new shower chair stored in the closet. Every need was anticipated. The view was great and we were able to watch the sun set over the ocean each night. The property is peaceful and well manicured, and the lanai layout was perfect for outdoor lounging. The only thing that would have made it better was if the pool was heated. However, the water wasn't too cold and that didn't prevent the kids from swimming all day! The property management team was attentive and reached out before and during our stay to ensure everything was perfect. Thanks!

It was great to watch the sun go down from the pool deck. You can't walk to anyplace from the house, so you have to drive, but that's the case for most houses in Kona. It was quite comfortable and well prepared for visitors. We really enjoyed staying there.

This is a beautiful house that more than met our expectations. It effortlessly handled our group of 8 aging from 1 year old to mid 50's. It was clean, organized and the layout was fantastic with a bathroom separating each bedroom. The AC was wonderful, the pool was nice and cool, and my grandson loved watching for geckos. The sunsets are fabulous. We only had to call maintenance once and he arrived in less than 30 minutes and immediately solved the hot water problem - a switch had been flipped on a timer. The only complaints we had were minor and would not keep us from staying again - the knives are very dull, the pans leave something to be desired, and the mattresses were too firm for the 20-somethings but the older generation loved them. You are located maybe five minutes from downtown Kona, which we thought was perfect for those night time gelato runs. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, the yard nicely landscaped, enough parking for our three cars and we would definitely love to stay again!

Beautiful house and the location was very convenient We loved the privacy of the design of the house, with seven people, this is very important. The temperature in the house made for wonderful sleeping. We enjoyed the sunsets, however a little obstructed by the house next door.

Our group of 8 stayed for a week. FYI for future guests, the floorplan is perfect for multiple families or generations: the master bedroom is on the south side of the house, the rest of the bedrooms are on the north side, with kitchen, living & dining in the middle. The A/C worked perfectly and kept the house cool in August, the kids loved the pool, and we spent hours on the lanai lounging under the ceiling fans. The beds and sofa were comfy, no complaints there! We had plenty of towels and made frequent use of the barbecue. Overall we had a wonderful stay at Kamilo Place.

Immediately upon parking, I knew we were in for a treat. The property was beautiful, & the house was magnificent. It was incredibly clean, comfortable furnishings, climate controlled, & very welcoming. The area was quiet & comfortable. The pool was a nice cool temperature on a hot day, the patio was great for entertaining & the direction of the back yard offered insane sunset views. We had a group of 7 in the house, & at no point did the place ever feel over crowded to too small. The ONLY critique I can give of the place is that they need a new BBQ, but since I work for Weber, I'm a little biased on the types of grill I use. ;-) Overall, I can't say enough great things about this property, & we'd definitely rent this home again.

This house was perfect for our group - we had two couples and a family of three. We had plenty of space, bedrooms, and bathrooms. The property is very clean and the upgraded kitchen is wonderful (although our “resident chef” was disappointed by very dull knives, less than stellar pans, and a lack of a baking sheet - other than those things the kitchen was fully stocked and very user friendly). The outside area is fantastic. The pool was clean and the view and sunsets are incredible. Great to have A/C. Kona coast was very responsive to questions (the only thing they didn’t get to us was a couple more beach towels - we had 7 in our group and only 5 beach towels... we made it work). Minor complaints aside, this is a wonderful place to stay. We’ve stayed in many vacation rentals and this is was one of the best! Date of Stay: 1/24/18 to 2/2/18

This house was excellent. There was nothing wrong with anything any time we needed anything they were very quick to get us anything we were missing or anything we needed help with. Very clean and very nice home. The pool was great as well as everything in the home. I have been to the Big Island 6 different times and this was the best place I have stayed by far. Our experience was wonderful! The house was spotless and very well stocked. There were 7 adults that stayed here and nobody felt like we were tripping over one another. Plenty of space! My husband and I were here with our adult children and their friends, and the pool and outdoor area were a popular spot at nights for swimming and playing cards around the outside table. Communications with Kona Coast exceeded my expectations and everyone was so helpful and friendly. We would rent from them again in a heartbeat!

Kamilo Place was a lovely home with an excellent location and views. It was perfect for the family which included two small children. Lots of open spaces for everyone both inside and out. The kitchen was well equipped for my son the chef to work his wonders for us all. Loved the breakfast and evening meals on the lanai overlooking the ocean. The pool was perfect. The location was great with easy access to downtown via Kuakini. Also just a 5 minute walk down the hill to beach and market.Kona Coast was very quick in responding to a plumbing issue. This was a great house. I have used lots of homeaways before, but this one was the best set up. Good selection of everything you need. The house was very comfortable and very clean. Perfect size for the 5 of us (2 adults, 3 teens). Homeaway was a great management company, they checked up on us but mostly allowed us to enjoy our vacation. The house was great. Pool was warm and great on hot afternoons. The Individual air units in the rooms were great for sleeping when it was hot. Great outdoor space in back, we spent a lot of time on the Lani and in the pool. Very good location close to Kona. Views were nice too.
