We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at 405 Kanaloa. This condo is very well equipped with all the necessities- toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dishwasher tabs, and dish washing liquid. The three lanais provide amazing views. We enjoyed all our meals on the lanai off the living room which overlooked the golf course. There are freezer packs, a cooler, lawn chairs, and other beach items available. There is 24 hour security and everyone is friendly and helpful. The only thing to be aware of is the number of stairs to get to the entry of the condo and then another flight of stairs to get to the main floor. Carrying suitcases and groceries can be challenging. Condo is in the perfect location, close to grocery store, drug store and restaurants. The perfect home away from home!

Loved this condo. It was clean and spacious. My only feedback is that we were not aware the second bedroom upstairs is a loft with an open wall. This led to some sleep disruption. Other than that this was a well equipped condo in peaceful location. Mahalo for a great visit.

Kona Coast Vacations was great at pre-trip communications and the unit was as advertised. The microwave was broken when we arrived, but KCV had it replaced immediately. The unit was well stocked and ready for a relaxing vacation.

Kona Coast Vacation (KCV) rentals was exceptional with the pre-trip communication. The condo was as advertised and was nicely stocked with all that was needed for a relaxing vacation. The microwave was broken when we arrived on Christmas Eve and the KCV office was closed on Christmas day, but I called them the next day and they had a new one installed immediately. The property was nice and secluded and the "ocean pool" was a great way to spend the day. The unit is a little dated, but nothing out of the ordinary for a property in Hawaii.

The unit was well stocked for our needs and in decent shape. Some more comfortable main floor furniture and upgrades to washrooms would have been nice but it had everything we needed just the same. The grounds and pools were beautiful. The stairs would certainly be challenging for many but we were ok with them and looked at it positive re exercise. Your company is always great to deal with and we are happy working with you both in the past and into the future.

We had a great time with our family of four. The grounds were great with 3 pools and tennis courts. There was a shopping center close by for groceries and take out. The condo was plenty spacious for us and had everything we needed. It was a great location for all the activities we did (snorkeling, beaches, hikes) the volcano is 2.5-3 hours away so would recommend staying overnight there if you go. (Well worth it!)

This place was great, it was a short drive from all the restaurants, shopping and some beaches…but what we enjoyed the most was its quiet, tranquility. We woke up each morning hearing the birds chirping, palm trees ruffing and waves crashing in the background. The condo is spacious and had everything we needed for our stay.

The AC in the 2 bedrooms were blowing hot air when we arrived. Called to have it fixed and it took until the next day to be fixed. The loft setup doesn't offer any privacy for that bedroom, there is a bedroom door but you still have a large opening down to the living room. The toaster could only use one side, as the other side would trip the circuit The one pool was across the street from the unit. The unit was clean and a nice place to stay otherwise.

Very nice property. Clean and well kept. The loft room was very nice and served as a master. The room on the main floor was also very nice, but did not have a dresser or place to store clothes etc. However, both rooms were spacious and beds comfortable. Lots of stairs that may be difficult for people with mobility issues. We very much enjoyed our stay here!

This condo exceeded our expectations. We were more interested in having a quiet, comfortable place to come home to after having day time adventures and this was exactly what we needed. The condo itself was very comfy and had 3 lanais. The grounds were beautiful with 3 different pools to choose from to hang out at after a day of hiking, snorkeling and exploring. It is situated a bit south of Kona-Kailua, which makes it less touristy, but close enough to get to restaurants and markets. Would definitely return to this condo community again.

Took a quick trip to Kona from our home in Maui and wow! This was an amazing rental. The condo felt spacious for our little family with 3 lanais, close to the pools, thoughtful details within the condo. It was quiet and welcoming. Everything we could have hoped for from a short family vacation. If there is any critique it would be that the curtains in the bedroom were so sheer that it was difficult to put our toddler to nap or sleep in. Darken curtains would be an awesome addition. Other than that—what an incredible space. Can't recommend it enough and hope to be back.

I went into this reservation a little skeptic because our group had to hurriedly book something after our other reservation fell through. But the place was very nice! The tall ceilings make it feel as if you have way more space, so that was a welcomed feature. Kitchen was stocked with dishes and various spices, and towels were plentiful. The fridge filter did need to be replaced, as well as the drier-- and the washer and dryer were very unbalanced which lead to annoying readjustments and very loud crashing noises. But ignoring those small things, this condo was so nice and very pleasing to stay in! 100% would choose again!

It's hard to find words to express how grateful we are to the owners of Kanaloa 405 for sharing their home and to Kona Coast Vacations (KCV). Our stay was more perfect than we imagined.
The home had everything we needed and more. It was very clean and quiet. The Kanaloa staff where very welcoming, as were other owners, guests and tenants in the area. The internet speed was fast enough for 4 working professionals to be online at the same time to accomplish telework meetings and tasks.
On more than 1 occasion KCV went out of their way to make our stay more comfortable and ideal for working from Kanaloa 405. The few maintenance items we encountered were dealt with within hours and KCV guest services were a pleasure to work with.
We gave the location of Kanaloa 405 a perfect walk score of 100! Easy to get everything we needed from groceries to the canoe club, great walks, swimming and surf. Also a great base location for Big Island explorations on the weekends. Truly hard to pull ourselves away from this sanctuary. If we have the opportunity again, we would be honored to be able to stay at Kanaloa 405.

This is a comfortable, well-equipped condo but be aware that there are lots of stairs to negotiate. Great exercise, though! There is a well-stocked kitchen for most of your basic needs. The internet/wifi was a bit fussy at times so it wasn't always easy to stream Netflix or Amazon, etc. but the property managers were very responsive when I brought the issue to their attention. The entire condo property is very pleasing and we would be happy to stay here again.

We really appreciated staying at this location for our last few days in Hawaii! It was incredibly clean and well stocked/appointed with clear instructions and accessible services. The ability to watch the sunset from the property (not the apartment but a quick easy walk from multiple vantage points) was great. The proximity to stores and food was key but more importantly, it was very easy to get to all of the north and south areas of interest on the Kona side within 5-30 mins depending on the beach/area. Highly recommend it for families or groups who want a bit more space and a place to relax in between sites.

This condo was all we had hoped for. It was very well stocked with everything we needed for our 10-day stay. We spent a part of almost every day at the oceanfront pool … so wonderful watching the powerful waves and listing to them crash on the lava. The sunset viewing there is perfect. We knew that this required stairs to get to the unit, but were surprised to find so many stairs once we entered. I counted 49 stairsteps from the road/parking level to the master bedroom on the top floor. The unit is entered on the second floor, but the main living area is actually on the 3rd floor and the master bedroom is on the 4th floor. We had no problem with all the stairs, we just wanted people looking to rent this condo to be clear that they needed to be able to climb to the 3rd and 4th floors. We truly did have a great time staying in this condo and in Kanaloa. Thank you for opening your Big Island home to us.

Loved the place and location. Quiet area with view of the ocean and three pools. Grocery store and other stores right up the street. On a golf course with thee balconies and beautiful rooms with kitchen and cable. Perfect location. Nice to be away from the hustle but only 10 minutes from downtown area and five minutes to nearest beach. I will always stay here and the staff were amazing with concierge service and following up to make sure the trip was great!!!!

The accommodations were very satisfactory;however, this is NOT a handicap friendly place. Lots of steps to get into the condo and lots of steps to the living area and one bedroom. The living space is very spacious! There were a few things that needed to be repaired. Screen doors in one bedroom, light for laundry and internet modem; however, Kona Coast Vacations did a super job in fixing all of these issues and did it very promptly! A good location/place for a young family.

It was one of the most quiet places we have stayed in....however, the closer it got to Thanksgiving the pool located across the street the kids were VERY noisy! This was not the fault of the condo owner! Kona Coast Vacations did a GREAT job in fixing any thing that needed fixed for that condo! Thank you for your promptness! This made our stay very pleasant.

The kitchen is very well appointed and the unit is spacious. Be advised the top floor master is an open loft style, so noise from the main area will come through. Parking spot is very handy and easy. The furniture is nice enough, but not terribly comfortable for lounging. Also, lighting is not bright if you want to relax and read in the main sitting area after dark. We would stay here again.T hank you for being so responsive and helpful.
