Luxury awaits in Kolea 16H. This 2nd floor condo is beautifully decorated with Hawaiian carvings on the dining room chairs & several cabinets throughout. With an assigned parking space, we never had to worry about finding a convenient spot. As soon as we stepped inside, we felt at home. The warm & welcoming furnishings are not only perfectly fitted to the tropical feel but are very comfortable. A large screen TV made my husband happy. The dining room table & chairs seated 6 comfortably. It was nice to have a selection of books to enjoy. The kitchen had every possible item you could want or need. From the blender to the toaster to the muffin tin, cookie sheets, baking dishes, some oils & spices, plenty of pots & pans, 2 complete sets of dishes/bowls & plenty of silverware. There's even a waffle iron & wooden serving containers. The refrigerator had in-door water. The freezer did make ice but the door ice dispenser did not work, which was not an issue for us. The pillow top king bed in the master was extremely comfortable. The closets were large & had more than enough hangers. The desk in the master made for the perfect place to set up our office,. The chest of drawers allowed lots of space for putting our clothes away. Extremely roomy bathrooms with nice white towels, soap & shampoo, plus plenty of hot water were all wonderful. The front closet contained beach items including towels, toys, chairs & mats. The lanai was small but had comfortable seating. We missed having a sliding screen door from the living room to the lanai as we love to have natural air flowing throughout but with the small tropical critters we didn't feel comfortable leaving the doors open. Having a sweeper, broom & mop allowed me to keep the condo in tip top condition during our stay. The washer & dryer were wonderful to have & were very quiet. Working with Kona Coast Vacations was easy & they provided fast response to any questions I had. The pool area was a 10 minute walk & during our stay, the number of lounge chairs more than doubled. Chairs are not to be moved which is fine except if that is a rule, they need more umbrellas. The location of 16H is close to the Kolea Kai Circle so it is a quick walk to both the Kings Shops & Queens Marketplace. The grounds are extremely well kept. If you are lucky enough to book 16H, you will not be disappointed.

Overall, had a real good time at the property. Had a couple of minor issues (low propane for BBQ, dishwasher issues), but the property manager was very responsive. The property was well furnished and included boogie boards and other assorted pool/recreational items. Pool and ocean are both easily accessible. Shopping and dining are also very close. Note that quiet hours start rather early at 8:00pm and the pool closes at 9:30pm. It's nice that reserved covered parking is also included.

The week went by so fast. There was so much to do from the location. Beaches restaurants shopping. We drove to Hilo and visited volcano. Our condo was perfect. Immaculate. Amenities were just as advertised. We hung out at the pool every evening too.

We had a great stay at this property on a recent trip to Hawaii with family. It accommodated 4 adults very easily, with plenty of space. The property was clean and had everything we needed for cooking onsite. I would recommend this spot to others looking for a convenient location walking distance to the beach. We also enjoyed the small pool area to relax at in the afternoons/early evenings. Communication was easy and quick with the property manager

The trip was fabulous and we really enjoyed the unit and all of the amenities. I liked the short walk to the pool and beach while the others enjoyed the winds on the lanai. The grounds are well maintained and 16H was nicely appointed. We felt very comfortable there and hope to one day return.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kolea. The grounds and the property itself were gorgeous and had every amenity you could ask for. The *only* thing we would have liked to see is a bigger fitness center. Other than that, no complaints!! This is our second time booking a Kona coast property via VRBO. I cannot say enough good things about Kona Coast property management. They are super responsive and check in with you periodically to see how things are doing. Love love love!!!

Wonderful Week In Waikoloa

We recently spent a wonderful week in Waikoloa staying in the Kolea 16H condo. With 2 big en-suite bedrooms, it was perfect for me and my wife and her brother. The condo was roomy with a big kitchen, living room and lanai. The clothes dryer was helpful for drying wet bathing suits and towels. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub at the nearby Kolea Beach Club, which provides easy access to Waikoloa beach. Kolea is close to several restaurants and a grocery store, which was handy for stocking up on food and beverages. We also swam with the dolphins at the nearby Hilton. We recommend Kolea for a vacation on the sunny side of the big island of Hawaii.

Also, we really appreciated the outstanding & proactive communication from the property manager. They were extremely informative and even helped us book a very cool excursion (night manta ray snorkeling - do NOT miss it!) prior to our arrival on the island. We would absolutely stay here again.

It Was Lovely

This condo is very spacious and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed it. It is 1/4 mile from the beach and the pool area is a little closer than that. Having stayed at a lot of short term rentals (and we used to own one too), we were surprised at how many rules there are and how much information there is. So much, that it conflicts with itself. For example, the rule book says you must wash all towels before you leave, but then you get another set of rules before checking out that says you must NOT wash towels before you leave. It's just a bit too many rules and that does add a little stress. Other than that, it was lovely.

We stayed at Kolea 16H, we had a wonderful stay. Our future son-in-law, booked the unit for us as part of a surprise Engagement Weekend for, for us and his parents. We had only met his parents once before, so this would be our first time rooming together. The Unit was perfect! The furnishings were lovely! There were two nice bedrooms, both with attached full baths, the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and cookware. There was a comfortable living room area, and a lovely outdoor balcony, where we spent much of our time. There was a beach club, but we actually never used it, we did enjoy the beach, the nearby restaurants and shopping facilities. We had a late flight in, and did not arrive at the unit until 11:30 PM. The keyless system made even late night arrivals so easy. A starter of coffee grounds for the morning would have been much appreciated. All and all, Everything was perfect!

The condo is everything you could ask for and more. Beautiful layout, clean, comfortable, well stocked, not even a 5 minute walk to the beach club. The beach club is phenomenal. Close to everything in Waikoloa. The condo is about a 40 minute drive to downtown Kona, very easy drive though. It felt like home instantly and was our favorite place out of 3 we stayed at on the island.

My wife and I have stayed at this property before because we really like the amenities of the complex (e.g., pool, spa, lanai) and its walking distance to the King's Shops and Queen's Marketplace, or a quick walk to the bar at the Marriott or Lava Lava club. The Island Gourmet Market at the Queen's Marketplace is a great place to pickup key groceries, beach essentials or a quick bite from the wide selection offered at the deli.

Both the unit and the host were great. Unit was much more spacious than it appears in the pictures. The booking and check-in experiences were fantastic and really inspired confidence ahead of my stay. The only downsides were the slow Internet and the sliding doors, which were a bit of a pinching hazard when opening them all the way. If you're looking to stay in Waikoloa, Kolea is a great spot.

We enjoyed this condo very much. It was big, quiet and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the location of the pool and beach. The only issue we had was when we booked there was a pull out couch listed. The couch was changed to a small sectional which my son did fine sleeping with on. I would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved everything about our stay. Check in process was easy we only needed the code for a door and gate and that was sent in an email. We were never bothered. The only down about the whole thing was that there was Hair in the shower and I sent an email addressing that and received an apology immediately. You cannot ask for a better location. We were in walking distance to the beach and the resort area is absolutely nice, beautifully kept and quiet. There are a lot of rules but in my opinion I would rather have lots of rules and stay in a beautiful kept and quiet environment. The shops in the area were a major plus. Island gourmet was a huge bonus for the area for snacks and quick good food. Starbucks in the area was on point every single time and very fast. having private beach access was amazing. We actually did not visit any other beaches.. having a little baby it made it very easy and convenient. The beds were kind of hard but that is just a personal preference you can't make everyone happy in that department. The whole waikoloa area is beautiful and we do not regret booking. You get what you pay for. The concierge service did book a reservation for us and I wish that where he booked and himself would've reminded us that we could possibly need Dramamine for our helicopter tour. Very expensive ride and the motion sickness was horrible. We received several emails and info and that was never listed. It's important.. Over all we loved our stay!

Wonderful unit, excellent communication with the rental agent. The only thing I would change in their description is that there is no ocean view, it a peaceful patio and you can look at a partial view of the mountains. Wonderful pool area you get access to and a short walk to the beach. The owners have beach items to use also, we didn't take advantage of this but thought it was a nice idea. Would highly recommend to others!

We are considering retirement locations and have always loved the big island. We decided to spend two months to help make the decision. We spent time in Waimea and Kolea. We have stayed in Kolea before, and find it to be the nicest Waikoloa location. Unit 16H was great!! Loved Kolea again. It is a short walk to A-bay, the pool and hot tub are very nice, and it is a great home base for so many big island activities. We love Kolea and will be back.

16H was the perfect home base for our Kohala coast adventures. The condo has everything you need to relax and enjoy your vacation. We began and ended each day on the gorgeous lanai, taking in the warm breeze and lovely sights and sounds. The pool and beach (sections of which we had all to ourselves) are steps away and delightful. Island Gourmet market is walking distance and was a great resource. This is the place!

Condo is well appointed for every need...beach gear, cooking gear, and even a great yoga mat. Condo is within short walking distance from pool, work out room, outdoor lanai, hot tub, and great beach access. It's location is very quiet and the property is very well maintained. Kona Coast Vacations thought of everything and the check in process was well thought out and organized. In other words, you can't go wrong with this condo. Wish we could stay longer!

We had the most wonderful stay. There were great basics that we needed for the beach included - beach towels, beach umbrella, boogie boards, some snorkels, a cooler, beach chairs. There were a few beach toys and we left behind more for future little visitors. We had with us my 3 year old and 6 year old who were huge fans of the pool and also the kids sand pool. I loved the view of the beach from the pool too. We would definitely stay here again.

KCV rental at Kolea 16H was great. The service was smooth. Location is great. We had stayed at Kolea before so we knew it was a wonderful community. 16H is in the back so no ocean view but quiet and some nice partial mountain view. Close to the walking path towards the hotel and shops. Easy walk to the Beach Club. The condo was well stocked. Only gripe is the master bed wasn't the most comfortable for some. It could use a pillow top or better mattress. Otherwise, fantastic bathrooms and decent furnishings. We cooked several meals and appreciated the kitchen and gear provided. We would stay here again.

We felt like we were in a Tommy Bahama ad :) . We have stayed previous years nearby but really enjoy this particular set up. It's a great place to go for walks along the coast and walks to view sunsets.

Very nice condo in a beautiful complex. Close to the beach, shopping and restaurants -- although we would have liked to had some better/different restaurant options. Loved the big lanai, very spacious condo, well-equipped kitchen, easy check-in. Plus they had beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, a cooler, which was a nice added bonus. All made for a really great trip!

We loved our stay at Kolea 612. Luxury stay with plenty of in-condo amenities. The property was fantastic. Great small pool and pool area. Beaches were great for swimming, snorkeling, and sunsets. We highly recommend this. It has everything you want and need in paradise.

My family and I were very pleased with the cleanliness of the condo. It was beautifully decorated and the kitchen included everything we needed for meals. We've stayed at multiple condos at Kolea Kai over the years and this property is one of our favorites. My only suggestion is replace the beach chairs and umbrellas that are mentioned in the listing with Tommy Bahama products (or similar). The current beach chairs were uncomfortable and the umbrella was broken. Mahalo!

We picked this property for its proximity to the beach and to the Marriott where our friends were staying. It was a great choice! The condo was just as pictured. Well appointed with beach chairs, beach towels, cooler and boogie board. Some of the furniture and the fixtures were a little on the worn side but we would definitely stay there again. The property managers and cleaning people were super responsive and flexible with us which we really appreciated.

The booking process was easy and the communication from the management company from the time of booking through check out was excellent. The condo was very clean, the furniture comfortable, kitchen very well equipped with everything you need. What we probably enjoyed the most though was the lanai-it's very large and we even used the BBQ! Short walk to the pool and beautiful white sand beach. The complex is also very well maintained. Would definitely stay again.
