Really can not beat the beachfront, especially for the price. Hard to complain about some rust and bugs, that’s just Hawaii. Amazing view, convenient location. Roadside rooms are very loud though, not much can be done about that though. Third time staying in this complex, would absolutely stay in this unit again!

This lovely condo is on the beach, in good condition with 3 bedrooms big kitchen, living room & impressive balcony with easy access to local town. Two homeless people slept in front of our front door at midnight one night over night … however our host immediately corrected this for the remaining nights. Scott.

A final "Aloha" for now; unfortunately, we are back in gray Germany. Our time in Kailua-Kona will remain unforgettable for us. Having our son join us was, of course, the most important thing. Still, the apartment we rented also contributed significantly to our well-being! The size and amenities matched the description and were perfectly fine. The location, however, was sensational—right on the Pacific with a small sandy beach. Our family stayed here for a week with my in-laws and our teenage son. We really enjoyed our stay here at Kona Bali Kai. The condo was fully equipment with everything we needed. The views and ocean sounds were absolutely stunning and amazing. We loved waking up each morning enjoying a cup of coffee on the Lani and watching the surfers. The sunsets are breath taking right from the lani or private beach. We would stay here again! Clean and tidy.

We stayed at Kona Bali Kai through Kona Coast Vacation Rentals and our stay was fabulous. The condo was clean, well stock with everything we needed including some beach items. The view and ocean waves were absolutely amazing. Can't wait to come back, we will gladly stay here again. Every morning you could wake up, enjoy a cup of coffee on the Lani and watch the surfers.

Absolutely beautiful! Spacious home set up for our family of 5. Right on water. Sometimes the tide was so loud we had to close the door - what an amazing problem to have! Gorgeous view of beach, lava rock tide pools, surfers... sit in the house, on the lanai, or downstairs on the lawn. There's even a beautiful view from the bathroom. Full kitchen with kitchen tools. Stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, of course refrigerator. Perfect location to explore the big island, or just sit and relax. Great communication with Kona Coast Vacations. Will definitely use their services again.

If this condo were any closer it would be in the water. Beautiful views of the surfers and magnificent sunsets. The condo had everything we needed for five adults and the management was fantastic. Got a call that the condo was ready for early check-in and got a call the next day just checking to see if everything was ok. Highly recommend this condo.

Comfortable apartment that has all necessary amenities, needs some TLC for windows and doors to make them easy to open/close and for sound proofing. It's great to have such a nice view of the ocean, but the close proximity means the apartment is quite loud when the doors and windows are open. Communication with company was prompt and efficient, and we used the excursion service which saved a lot of time and hassle.

Overall good stay. We never got a key to the pool and no one I called took care of it. Ad claimed the beach is private to the property, it's anything but. Still, the view was awesome and we enjoyed our stay

Property could have been a little cleaner & updated. Our unit was on 2nd floor at the end of building near beach access area. Very noisy early In morning with people going to beach, traffic on road & maintenance personnel working on building. Nothing can be done about road traffic, except maybe newer windows. Maintenance could wait till about 7am to start work. Was woken up at 5:30/6 in the mornings.

What a beautiful spot to be at literally near everything Kona! The condo had extras for us to use, snorkel gear and a boogie board! It was so great! Clean and right on the water! I guess it's a local spot for surfing so it was amazing waking up and hearing the ocean and watching surfing pretty much all day! We loved every minute!

Overall fine. Can't beat the view or the location! Be prepared to purchase even the basic condiments if you plan on cooking. Nothing provided other than coffee filters, a couple days worth of dishwasher detergent, a roll of paper towels, and one roll of toilet paper per bathroom.

Nice waterfront condo. It was great to sleep with ocean waves in master bedroom. Other 2 bedrooms are looking at the Ali dr, so it might be noisy at night. But you can't really beat the location. Morning coffee and dinner time at lanai we're the best!

We had a wonderful vacation and appreciated the quick responses to our questions. The beds and linens are of really good quality and we really appreciated the supply; many places only supply the bare minimum. The location is wonderful for going in any direction on the island. All beach amenities were appreciated and enjoyed too! The small beach right in front of the unit provided many hours of fun and exploring opportunities not to mention beautiful sunset shots! This corner unit has one of the best views I have experienced. Unfortunately it does not seem the unit is taken care of. Little things like rusted towel racks that break and kitchen cabinets that do not close. Also Master closet slider for mirrored doors was completely rusted. When you look up cost for this it seems affordable to fix given what owner is making on rentals. Just little things are so important. Sorry I do not usually write reviews like this.

The property is as waterfront as you can get! The views are amazing and you can sit out and watch the surfers all day. Nice beach right down from the condo. Tide pools to explore. Beautiful sunsets. Check in was a breeze. A code was sent days before the trip so we had everything we needed to get right in. Welcome book was provided with all the information you need plus recommendations on beaches and a trolley schedule. The trolly stops right in front of the property so fun and easy way to explore Kona. The condo was clean and spacious with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Beach chair, umbrellas, buckets and snorkel gear were in the condo. We left behind a boogie board so hopefully others can enjoy it. The stay was relaxing and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again

Perfect location! We loved sitting out on the balcony every morning and evening literally with the ocean right in front of us! And at night the sound of the waves was the best noise machine! Everything was very clean, and checking in and out was super easy. Instructions for everything were very clear and there was no hassle with anything. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!

My two teenage daughters along with my wife and I absolutely loved the place! With three baths it was plenty big with an awesome kitchen! Breakfast on the lanai watching surfers, beautiful sunsets at night, and listening to the waves crashing to put you to sleep rounded out the day! Plenty to do on the Big Island if adventurous and have a vehicle. Kona is just a few minutes away, as are swimming/snorkeling beaches. The chairs/umbrella and cooler all came in handy, along with boogie board on our beach days. Would definitely come back!!!

This property has the most unbelievable view being right on the ocean! Just amazing. It was large enough that all 6 of us were very comfortable for our 10 night stay. The only problem we encountered was that the door locked didn't work when we arrived late at night. Fortunately the property management company answered our late night call and was able to correct the problem quickly. Would definitely stay here again!

Having stayed here previously, I knew the view would be spectacular for first time Big Island visitors. It didn't disappoint. Great sunsets and lots of surfing action. We love being so close to the ocean. The corner room is next to the small local park which was quiet during our Tuesday-Thursday stay. The condo is spacious with extra large kitchen space and good appliances. However it really needs painting and some simple TLC Updates . We find the location perfect for seeing the town or reaching near by beaches.

First to note, there is no AC. They are accurate in not listing it, but some people assume there is AC everywhere. We chose this place because we had 3 adult children with us and it had enough beds. The highs were in the 90's and with fans, we were comfortable at night. The the wave break in front is popular with the locals and it was fun to watch them surf. It was very clean and in a convenient location. Parking was never full, so being near the unit was easy. The concierge for activities was a bonus and the places he booked for us we enjoyed. Overall a very good experience.

Eating at the counter for three and a table for two worked for us when we weren't using the outdoor large dinner table on the Lanai. The views and the sound of the ocean were wonderful. Never have we been so close to the ocean without getting in. The waves crashing right outside. Our whole family enjoyed many meals out on the balcony watching all the local surfers. It's proximity to everything was great. The bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable and sleeping with the waves crashing right outside was more than dreamy. We stayed with our family of 6 and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked with all of our needs. There was a closet full of beach umbrellas, snorkel gear and beach chairs for our use. This condo truly set us up for a vacation we will never forget.

I stayed at Kona Bali Kai unit #201. If you have the $ this is hands down the most amazing unit I have ever stayed in in Kona. Directly right in front of the condo is the white sand beach with a shallow pool for soaking. My son got up every morning and paddled out to surf as you are located on Banyons beach surf break. The waves were perfect everyday. He is a beginner and after a few lessons at Kahaluu beach (2 miles down) he was ready for Banyons. The views from the unit are incredible. The master bedroom has the most amazing view. The sound of waves crashing all night was the perfect Hawaiian experience. This condo is 2.5 miles from town, making grocery shopping a breeze. I would def stay here again.

A beautiful location! We had a wonderful stay. We had notification that property was ready early, but cleaning staff were still inside working when we arrived around 5:30. Location is great- we had no trouble parking until the surf came up later in the week. As there is a small public beach access right next to property, local surfers were always there. Sometimes loud, with questionable activities, barking dogs, etc. The property was great for us. No problems there. There were no extra paper towels, laundry soap, nor dishwasher soap, so when we ran out, couldn?t get ahold of anyone for more. Property included beach towels, beach chairs, some fishing equipment. If you want a place right on the ocean, this is your place! The waves break right outside your window and you have a direct view of the surfing beach called Banyan beach surf spot. You need to be an experienced surfer though. There is a small park that the locals hang out at. The surfers entertain you all day long. The views are absolutely amazing. The condo has 3 bedrooms and will accommodate 6 people comfortably. My husband and I went with our son and his wife and our daughter and her husband. We stopped at Costco on our way from the airport and stocked up with food and supplies. Parking is convenient right underneath the condo. The condos are older but this one has been somewhat updated but nothing fancy. The condo contains beach towels, beach chairs, swim noodles, snorkeling gear and umbrellas which we used almost every day. The refrigerator makes plenty of ice. They provide supplies such as dish soap, paper towels and toilet paper for a few days. They also have a washer dryer in the unit which is really nice so you can have clean beach towels. The front door has a code so it's easy to check in but they won't let you check in early so plan your arrival accordingly. The downside is no AC, but they have fans in every room and ceiling fans. But it was hot and humid! The humidity is really hard on the place and this unit needs some maintenance. There was loud noise from the park from people hanging out. We were awakened 2 times late at night by loud voices but the surf is so loud it really drowns out most traffic noise. There are small ants in the master bathroom and kitchen. The guest bath has no windows and kind of damp and stuffy so everyone wanted to use the master bath which was brighter and more airy. It is not the Four Seasons but for the price it was great and we enjoyed it. I would highly recommend they invest in A/C though. It would make a huge difference. Overall it's a great place for the money.

Perfect setting! Kona Bali Kai is right on the water. We have stayed in two of these units now, and have loved each one. We watched surfers, para-sailing, and beautiful sunsets from the lanai. Clean and well managed, great kitchen. We highly recommend, and look forward to a stay in the future.

Great property right on the ocean. Views don’t get any better than this. Saw a sea turtle right from our lanai feeding. Far enough away from the bustle of the touristy area of Kona yet not to far you couldn’t be there in a couple of minutes by car. Plenty of space for the 6 of us. A lot of great amenities such as chairs, beach umbrellas, snorkeling gear to help enjoy your vacation. Pretty cool to watch the local surfers as the condo is right next to a small local park. The pool and hot tub area are very nice to use especially in the evening, barely anyone else using it. The only negatives were the lack of air conditioning and lack of breezes off the ocean while we were there that left us a bit hot and sticky. But there are ceiling fans and additional fans in every room. The condo itself is pretty close to the road so guests in the queen and twin bedrooms will get road noise. The bathrooms could use a paint job but I suppose that’s life living so close to the sea. Overall a great place with great amenities for the price. Loved my time on the big island!

My family loved the amazing sunsets every night! Loved watching the dolphins and surfers every morning while sitting on the deck with our coffee and breakfast!! We saw turtles every day also. Had plenty of room for our family of 6. Would rent again if we would make it back to Hawaii again!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was very spacious and felt like a home away from home. The view was absolutely gorgeous. You can not find a view like that anywhere else. I spent most of my mornings, afternoons, and nights just relaxing on the lanai.

Outdide lanai had a bar stool table and 4 chairs and two comfy wood lounge chairs. Provided outdoor activity water equipment and an igloo. All kitchen items available for use. Big kitchen, nice bar for eating breakfast. Nice large wood barstools. Rooms, beds and beding good. Ocean front view no obstruction. 1 elevator to use in the middle of the Oceanside condos. Washer and dryer in condo. A 3 bedroom condo. 1 king bed in master with a stand only lanai. 2nd bedroom 2 twin beds and 3 rd bedroom 1 queen bed . Just a little paint in the bathroom is needed. I would defintely come back and we plan on doing that. Enjoyed with my family of 4. We had plenty of space. The Coit family

This was our first visit to the Big Island, and we enjoyed our stay here. The views off the lanai are beautiful. The location is good. It's not walkable to Kona, but it's close and there is a trolley. It was also a short drive to Magic Sands Beach, the kids favorite because of the boogie boarding. The beach at the condo is better to look at than to swim. It is rocky. The kids played on the rocks, but we had a few bumps and bruises from trying to swim. There were always surfers there, though, so it would be a good fit for surfers. The place could use an update, but it was well furnished and well- equipped. A couple times I looked for something, and I found it in a drawer. The keypad entry was awesome. The kids could come and go as they pleased. It was overall a very good experience.

Wonderful to be right on the ocean! By far the most well-stocked Airbnb we've stayed in, didn't need to worry about any supplies. Hosts were available to help with questions. Place was clean, and store across the highway. Down side is it's right on the highway, so bedrooms 2 and 3 are noisy, trash truck at 4:30am, surfers congregating at 6:00am. The rental property was well kept and in a perfect location. The daily exploration of the rocks for sea life and visits of the great sea turtle was an added treat for all. we did not have to go very far for white sandy beaches to swim, and then a very close beach provided snorkeling adventures.

We love Hawaii and we had a great time in Kailua-Kona...lots to do! The condo was nice. The surf out front was really good all week- The noise can get loud at night from cars driving by and partyers at the park directly next door- and FYI NO ALCOHOL allowed in the pool...although everyone just pours it in a cup and enjoys the warm pool and jacuzzi- but watch out for Female Hawaiian Paul Blart Rent-A-Cop patrolling 24-7- I guess you can just go across the street to the liquor store and sit on the beach and drink with the rest of the town...

Our impression when arriving at the condo at Bali Kai was fantastic. Beautiful view, great location, and great accommodations. When in the condo I spent most of my time on the Lanai because of the view. The kitchen is huge with all the amenities needed. The bedrooms were small, but adequate. No air conditioning, but with the breeze off the water, it was comfortable. The location made it easy to get to all the activities we had planned.

When we walked into the condo we were surprised to see it was actually nicer than the pictures. The condo was nicely stocked with cooking utensils, towels, beach items and really nice quality toiletries for our initial use. The location was perfect being just far enough away from a lot of the traffic and heavier tourism. We did not have air conditioning which we at first thought was going to be a problem but as soon as we opened the windows and door from the lanai things cooled off instantly from the breeze. There were turtles outside every day. The grounds were well maintained, the pool was being worked on, but there was a shallow area protected by some rocks right out in front that was good for wading if needed. Our condo did not have anyone under us which was nice after hearing some slight sounds from someone that was above us. Not that we made noise but we could tell when they moved a chair or dropped something, but by no means an issue from the upper condo. The people that worked at Kona Bali Kai were very nice and helpful even though we did not book through them but through Kona Coast. It was nice having a concierge even though we did not have an opportunity to solicit his help. I would definitely stay at this condo again and would use Kona Coast, it felt much safer booking through them vs some of the online web sites.

My husband and I stayed at Bali Kai 201 with my sister, husband and her family (2 teens) and the condo was a great size for the 6 of us. It was well equiped with all the items we needed for our stay. Only item that we didn't notice when booking and turned out to not be a big issue is there is no air conditioning in the unit. We used the fans provided and didn't find that it was a huge issue but could be for others. The absolute highlight was sitting on the deck watching the waves and surfers. Having said that, due to the surfers and the public area, there were a few nights that people would be chatting/congregating into the evening which could be heard. The condo does need a few updates but for the most part, was clean on check in. The one bedroom had a lot of spare items in the closet (extra bedding, new ceiling fan in the box, etc) which took away from our use, but otherwise was fairly minor. Lots of towels for our use and was nice to have the washer and dryer in suite.

Wonderful condo directly facing a surfers beach. There are small wade pools for children and older people. Picnic area and BBQ. The unit was well appointed with a HUGE kitchen. The bedrooms had ceiling fans and portable fans. There is a Poke Shack on the property. There is also a private pool and an elevator.

The house was perfectly situated on the ocean front. We had issues with the unit above us. They were doing construction most of the 7 days we were there. I Understand that is not in your control but it still hindered our relaxing vacation. We spent $1500 and went above our budget because of the view. It was a shame that the drilling interfered with our enjoyment of the lani. Tile and construction debris flew in the are and left a mess on our lani. I was impressed with the vacation management company as the did clean the lani off and made sure we had everything we needed. Just a bummer we had to deal with it all. As we left we noticed they had finished the work. Just our luck lol.
