5 stars all around for this property. The listing is already wow-worthy but when you enter (even beginning with the neighborhood and driveway) everything is jaw dropping. Very spacious, amazing views in everything direction. Kitchen is super well stocked for anything you want to create in your time. Convenient location within central Kona. Chairs, umbrellas, sand toys all available for the beach. Easy to work with the concierge with any issues (only issue we had was door code and got ahold of them in under 2 minutes.) would absolutely stay again!

Kona Bay Estates 23 was absolutely delightful. My wife and I brought our daughter, son-in-law, their son - our first grandchild, our son and our daughter-in-law (who is expecting) together for a perfect week of family time. We barely needed to leave the property. Keiki Beach is right out the front of the property and was ideal to introduce our grandson to the ocean. We spent hours on the lanai watching the crashing waves on the rocky coast north of Keiki Beach as well as the breaching whales off the coast. We ordered in for dinner. No restaurant on the Kona coast has a better view. Next year’s family holiday card photo will be the one of us on the lawn in front of the lanai. We will definitely be back.

It was everything and more! It's an amazing home with an over-the-top view! There were three couples and a baby in our group, and we had everything that we needed! We loved it so much that we had a hard time convincing ourselves to go out. It's conveniently located in Kona, and we loved the little beach. We saw whales off the lanai, along with dolphins. Great outdoor seating! Thank you!!!

This house and property are amazing. You can open up all the doors at the back of the house for a true open-air experience. The sunsets from the lanai are breathtaking. Listening to the waves while you enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon libation is a perfect respite. I would stay here again and again. Mahalo for sharing your home with us.

Beautiful place right on the water. Amazing sunsets every evening. Home was very clean and spacious. We loved the home and our stay. Only down fall for us was that, even though it was located in a gated community, the public still had access to the beach. There were dozens of people directly behind the house every day especially during the sunset hours. Some people would come sit on the back rock wall/fence and just hang out for hours.

Our stay at this VRBO on the Big Island was unforgettable. The views were absolutely stunning, and we found ourselves looking forward to the sunsets every evening—they were simply breathtaking. The kitchen was a dream for anyone who enjoys cooking. It was fully equipped with everything we needed, making meal prep a breeze. We enjoyed many home-cooked meals and felt right at home. The landscaping around the property was beautiful and added to the overall serenity of the place. We loved walking through the lush gardens in the morning—it really felt like our own private oasis. The beach was steps away and our kids were in the tide pools all day, evening and nights! The concierge, David was amazing, got us a once in a lifetime experience with swimming with the Manta Rays, recommended an awesome Coffee Farm and helped my daughter arrange a private Chef birthday dinner surprise on the lanai that was the highlight of my experience! This place exceeded our expectations in every way. If you're looking for a relaxing and beautiful getaway, this is the spot. We can't wait to come back!

Lovely family time in this gorgeous home which we found to be exactly as pictured - 180 degree views of the sea, spacious with room for everyone, well equipped kitchen we could create meals in and spend time together enjoying the surrounding gardens that created privacy from other homes, watching dolphins and whales swim by several mornings. Hot tub to watch soul-filling sunsets from every night! Nearby community pool where my daughter could swim with the Kona Aquatics team (arranged previously). Beach and lava rocks to walk on from house. Shops/restaurants nearby (must go to Paradise Bakery for hot malasadas). KCV was responsive and helpful but not intrusive. Washer/dryer was great to have to do loads of towels which were provided. Lots of snorkel gear/beach chairs at the house (though not guaranteed) which we used. Would highly recommend and would rent again or explore one of the other amazing homes in this neighborhood! Aloha!

3 couples shared this beautiful ocean front home. We loved having plenty of space for everyone to have their own bedrooms and baths. It was also very easy to cook dinner and enjoy the outdoor seating. There is public beach access and there is a fair amount of traffic along the pedestrian wall which runs along the ocean front and is about 25 feet or so from the back porch. So, there are several people checking out the house and the people using it.

For an absolutely wonderful property to stay on the island of Hawaii...you will have a hard time finding something equal or better. We own our own home on the California coast and always enjoy looking for an alternative ocean front home elsewhere in the world to vacation. Kona Bay Estates 23 will most likely be at the top of your vacation home experiences. The highlights are numerous- Ocean front with great blow hole type wave activity within 100 yards of the most beautiful lanai outfitted with very comfortable dining and lounging furniture for our entire family. The beds and bedding were splendid. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the necessary cooking gadgets and high end appliances. A very calm swimming lagoon within 75 footsteps from the home. Plenty of beach chairs and umbrella and sand toys and snorkel gear for our use. The landscaping alone brings on a calm of its own. Wonderful, wonderful property. Thank you so much for sharing.

This house was very nice. The decor is more formal than our family's taste. Nothing wrong or different from the pictures, just not ideal for young children. As shown in pictures there is a fragile sculpture that is not to be touched but it is tempting for young kids. We kept our kids away but it did require extra vigilance that parents should be aware of. The master is on the main level, all other bedrooms are upstairs above garage- far from master. When traveling with small children this isn't ideal. But the location was beautiful and so close to a wonderful beach for small kids. We had a great stay. I would recommend this house more for families with older children or couples traveling together. Oceanfront location was perfect for watching sunsets and we enjoyed seeing all the boats moving between the harbor and the pier each morning and evening.

The home is gorgeous and in a gated community, right on the ocean and just a short walk to the keiki pond. My mom loved the master suite and she and my stepdad stayed nice and cool with excellent air conditioning downstairs. The air didn’t work as well upstairs and the back bedroom shower had no warm water. There should be information about how to turn the living room lights on and off, the switch is in a cabinet, which we learned by calling the property management company. Overall an incredible property, we had a wonderful time, and I highly recommend staying there!

The views from the lanai are breathtaking! And the outdoor furniture is inviting, sturdy, and comfortable. This location can't be beat for convenience to Keiki Beach, a great toddler playground, food, shopping, and services. The beach is less than 100 steps along the seawall. There is a short-cut to the playground and no need to walk along a public road. In early September, there was only one twin bed, the others being designed for couples, which can be a little awkward for kids and teens. There is an outdoor shower to wash off the sand, but no indoor bathtubs to bathe babies. The management was very responsive to our inquiries. The security patrols made us feel safe and comfortable. Worth every penny for the convenience and great memories.

We've stayed in a lot of vacation rentals but this one is the ultimate. The house is ideal and spacious. The views are perfect. The ocean is so close. And the Keiki beach is literally 50 yards from the house. We ate dinner outside every night and watched the waves for hours. The kids loved searching for geckos. Excellent sunsets and lots of memories made there.

Gorgeous property, right on the water. Perfect for families with small kids as the keiki pond is right out the door. The water is warm and shallow, no surf and lots of sand. The back lanai has an amazing ocean view with a wonderful breeze. There are chaise lounges, sofas, comfortable chairs and a great outdoor dining table. We started and ended our days here. The kitchen has everything you could ever want. The bedrooms are gorgeous as are the bathrooms. And it has a washing machine and dryer! The gated community is quiet, secure and just minutes from downtown, so easy access to a grocery store. The property management company is extremely responsive. We would definitely stay here again,.

As we landed in Kona, we got an email that the dryer for the unit wasn't working and it would be 5 days before the part came in. Then when we got to the home and pressed the ice button on the refrigerator, water shot out of the ice machine and would not turn off until we completely shut down the refrigerator. This was a Friday at 5pm. When we called Kona Coast Vacations, they did everything they could to get an appliance person out there ASAP and extra towels since we couldn't use what we had, the dryer didn't work to clean them. Both appliances were fixed early Monday morning (who works on the weekends) and it was almost as if it never happened. Customer service response is off the charts!! Beautiful home, tons of amenities, beautiful view, overall safe feeling, and we will definitely be back as often as possible!! Thank you Kona Coast Vacations for an amazing vacation experience!!

We traveled to Kona and rented this home for 8 days Dec 2020. We had a group of 8 family members and the house had plenty of rooms for all. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need , so great. The view of the ocean and proximity to Keiki beach was perfect. We will definitely stay here again.

Exceeded expectations for our six-day stay August 19-25 with our group of eight at Kona Bay Estates 23! Upon arrival we were so pleased with the beauty and spaciousness of the home and the layout, furnishings, proximity to the beach, view of the ocean, well-stocked kitchen, etc. In addition to the beach items we brought, we also found beach toys for the kids in the storage bin on the side of the beautiful lanai, and headed to the sandy beach via the little stone wall that borders the property. For indoors, there is a supply of games to play and books to read, should you need them. Property is close to restaurants and excursion launch sites - could even walk to some if we wanted to. We saw amazing sunset views! Beds were comfortable and bedrooms had separate thermostats so each couple could adjust to their preference. On our last day there, we took some time to just sit on the lanai, gaze and listen to the ocean, staying until the very last minute because we didn't want to leave. We have a couple of suggestions if the owners are looking to improve on almost perfection - a ceiling fan on the lanai would be great for those toasty days, and a step at the wall would help older, less agile people like me:) So happy we picked your place!

This home did not disappoint, it was the perfect way to end our last week in Hawaii. It was SO very clean and well-organized. The cabinets are full of cooking gadgets, bowls, tupperware, etc. I also really liked that there was a beverage fridge so all the sparkling water and juices did not take up the actual fridge. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and hanging out on the spacious lanai. The hot tub was amazing as well! The beds were super comfortable. Getting in and out of the private community was very easy. It's location is also great - we were close to the things that mattered to us. We would stay here again 100%!

Our family enjoyed this beautiful home so much! Every thing about it was perfect, we enjoyed coffee every morning on the Lanai to dinner in the evenings, listening to the ocean and watching the gorgeous sunsets. Thank you for a vacation that we will all never forget.

We loved the location. We spent much of our time sitting on the lanai watching dolphins and sunsets. Beautifully equipped kitchen. Helpful concierge.

What's not to love about this property! You get what you pay for, and what you get with this home is the best of Kona locations. Keiki Ponds is the protected family beach 100 steps from the lanai, and we felt we didn't need to go anywhere else with our family to enjoy Kona's shores. The house has a plethora of beach towels, two large beach umbrellas, chairs and toys to spend the whole day enjoying the sandy beach. The crashing ocean on the other side of the lava rocks was amazing, and the mornings drinking coffee outside were wonderful. The house is even larger than shown in the photos, if possible, and was well-stocked. The description of the house was accurate, except there are also trundle beds under the two bunk beds and there's a brand new pack n play portable crib in the upstairs closet. The house is located in a great, safe, gated community that was a 12 minute drive to the downtown Kona area. Large private driveway for parking, easy to find location, good list of recommended vendors (we snorkeled with manta rays and dolphins with Jack's Diving Locker, which was on their list and fabulous). Kona Coast Vacations reached out several times before our trip to offer assistance and their concierge services, which we didn't use but appreciated. We will be staying here again in the future without a doubt.

The big island and Kona are a great place to vacation. The house is in a perfect location for sunsets, a quiet beach, close to restaurants and shopping. You can see whale from the house. The house is well stocked to make a great vacation. Rooms are very comfortable. A nice gated community. Date of Stay: 12/20/17 to 12/30/17

Our vacation was awesome. We had not been to the Big Island in many years and were surprised in the changes we found especially around the Kona area. Not a little "burg" anymore. The Kona Bay Estates 23 home was beautiful and so perfect for our family. We were NOT ready to leave. We explored beaches, the Volcano, green sand beach, black sand beach, Wiamia, Keck Observatory, Captain Cook's momument - we walked, hiked, kayaked, snorkeled and in general enjoyed our time at the house and nearby beach. This house and its location just by keiki beach with its calm water pool which is perfect for young kids, was perfect for us. We spent a week there with 7 people, including a 3 year old and a 4 year old.
If we go to the west side of the Big Island again, I'm sure we would book this same place again.

The property was as stated. No better words can I use to describe it. Truly spectacular. The only reason we didn't spend all of our time on the lanai is we had to eat. The kitchen had everything tool needed to make any dish we desired. With three markets to choose from just 3 minutes away any meal was a possibility. With the marina fifteen minutes north and Kona three minutes south all we wanted was near. We did receive what we paid for. Mahalo!

We stayed this past week in this home with my husband and my three teenage sons. It was a beautiful well equipped home. The lanai and view were incredible. We played games most nights on the lanai listening to the waves crashing behind us and also enjoyed coffee in the mornings in the same incredible setting. It was very warm when we were there and the home did have AC which was an unexpected bonus for us. We loved the closeness to the airport and the town. There was shopping for groceries very close by (3 teenage boys) and we utilized the gas grill on the lanai as well. Another wonderful I loved was the master was on the main floor and additional bedrooms in the back of the home one flight up. All of the living space was beach side making for a very quiet place for the early risers as well as those sleeping later. We hope to stay there again some day.

This house is so beautiful and open!! Every morning we sat out watching the waves from the lanai while drinking our coffee. We had more than enough room for everyone. The house is just a short walk from town and the keiki pools are right out back. I need to figure out how to get back to this house more often!!
