the location is amazing. The coffee pot was not working and needs to be replaced. Some furniture is dated and carpet should be cleaned. It would be nice to have amenities instructions printed at the property.

The artwork and special touches made it feel more like our permanent home than a vacation rental. Couldn't believe how quiet this place was. We sat outside every night and tried to whisper as best we could. Very comfortable bed. We will definitely be back!

The Mauna Lani properties are a great area to stay, nice restaurants, beautiful view and grounds. The Terrace area in particular is home to a more mature group. The updated pool/hottub had several covered areas and were really well done. Our particular unit was very dated though; the couches needed to go, not comfortable. The dryer could barely dry the clothes, the towels would take at least 3 hours to dry. And those towels were from the ABC store, which also bothered me; at least get the nicer towels from Costco for goodness sake. Finally, the bathroom showers had a very unusual set up. If I recall others have noted the same concerns, and they still exist. It's time for an update.

Mauna Lani and particularly the Mauna Lani Terrace complex is a magical place. This was our third stay at D203. We enjoyed 22 nights here and once we arrive we seldom leave the area. Everything we need is there. We are planning to return to this unit again. If the owners are so inclined, the only thing I would change is to upgrade the chaise lounge cushions on the lanai to some that are a bit thicker. Booking and communication with Kona Coast Vacations was excellent. Thank you for sharing your Hawaiian home with us.

This vacation rental did not disappoint. I am back home now and still have the memory of our view ingrained in my brain. It was just lovely it was everything I needed and if I had a question there is always someone who answered the phone. Traveling with two teenager boys meant space was important There was plenty of it and have 3 bathrooms was incredible. The refrigerator was huge and we were able to go in stock our Costco shopping. The pool was never crowded and we had our choice of four barbecues to grill. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it. It was near perfect and the small things that were not perfect could easily be changed and that's the only reason I will mention. The doors to the bedrooms popped and made noises each time we opened it so it was hard to go in quietly and not disturb the person sleeping on the sofa bed. The kitchen hands could be updated as it was a little challenging to cook on the electric stove. Lastly the pressure in the showers was awesome. So awesome that it was hard not to get water outside the shower. Our master shower seem to be missing a curtain that would prevent water from spraying all over the place. But again these are minor things in comparison to what the vacation home provided for us. I would be remiss if not to mention the private beach. I think I enjoyed the walk to the beach more than anything. On our last night I told my husband I wanted to take a walk and soak it all in once again. We saw fish we saw birds ,we saw waves, it was magical

This is our fifth time back to these condos. First time for this one specifically. Yes, the decor is somewhat dated in many of these condos, but honestly it is just about enjoying a relaxing and super functional condo close to so many potential activities. Would absolutely be back! Thank you !

We had an amazing stay! The condo was clean, elegant, and comfortable - wonderful and more spacious than it appears in the photos. The location is unbeatable - we hardly got into our car and walked to the beach within minutes, as well as walked to the resort next door for dinner each night. I loved being able to walk over there for a coffee in the morning or for some shopping - it made us feel like we had all the benefits of staying in a resort, yet with a huge suite with two bedrooms and a kitchen which would be several thousand a night if it were in the hotel. The views from the unit are incredible, and walking amongst the historical fishponds on a daily basis was dreamy. The kitchen is well appointed, just keep in mind that due to big island heat and humidity, they cannot keep any sugar/oil/spices/etc in the cabinets so make sure you grab what you need from the market. We brought sugar packets and creamers from the plane for our first morning!
We didn't have any bug problems and diligently followed the rules about taking out trash and cleaning counters after each food prep, wiping away sugar straight away after morning coffee and putting things in the dishwasher. The AC works really well and we tried to save energy by only using in in the afternoons if we were in the unit, and at night for sleeping. We found that turning it off in the morning the unit would stay cool until at least 4pm, the sliding doors open and breezes coming off the lagoon were so pleasant. We will definitely be back and would love to hear about any special rates throughout the year, KCV!

Beautiful property, great location. Be aware that the condo is designed for extremely tall people. You will need to take advantage of a step stool if you are not really tall, including reaching the refrigerator shelves, the bed in master bedroom, etc

Property was decorated to give you the Hawaiian feel inside as well as you look at the outside. One minor issue resolved right away. Short walk to a nice beach with chairs and cabana available to people who stayed at Mauna Lani Terrace.

I highly recommend this property. I was a little nervous going in with a couple of the past reviews…however we did not see a single ant while there nor did I feel like furniture was worn. We felt this was an idyllic place to stay for our week in Hawaii. The pool was mostly quiet (I had the pool to myself for my morning lap swims), loved walking to the beach club for a cabana and then some lunch, and then loooved the short walk over to the beautiful Mauna Lani resort. We went there for drinks, dinner, etc. The grounds are all gorgeous. The lanai has the most beautiful view and perfect for watching the sunset. Fav spots close by: Lava Lava Beach Club, Canoe House, Kukio Beach.

My family loved our time here. Great setup. Beautiful view from the condo, beautiful walk to the beach club with amazing snorkeling, walking distance to a couple hotels and nearby plaza for groceries/restaurants. Only issue was the screen doors don't fully close to lock/seal out bugs (no big deal) and not a direct sunset view from the lanai (great excuse to sit on the provided beach lounge chairs a short walk away and closer than the beach club). Would love to come back!

The property was as described and in a great location. Plenty of room for our family of 4, good sized kitchen with many amenities. Things are outdated and they did not supply conditioner or lotion which was surprising. There was a small ant issue but they had insect spray which helped. Nice space on the lanai with a great view. We could easily get to the beach, pool and walk to dinner. Overall a great stay!

This was our second stay at D203. The condo is stylish, comfortable and clean. We appreciated having plenty of basic supplies for our two week stay. The views from this building are spectacular. Kona Coast Vacations did an excellent job communicating with us prior to and during our stay.

This property and location is a gem! The beach is even closer than it looks and is easier to walk to than drive as long as your group is not limited by mobility. It's also perfect for teenagers as they had the freedom to explore everywhere on foot. Our family enjoyed the condo, the lanai and the property. If you want the amenities of a luxury resort without the crowds at the pool, the same beautiful beach and the bonus of a kitchen and washer and dryer, I recommend this 100 percent! Everything was seemless, from the check in to check out, the availability of the concierge and their recommendations, and of course the weather. So many highlights- the sunsets, the golf course, the hikes AND we caught a 444 pound Marlin. Hope to come back some day. I am very glad to have discovered the Mauna Lani Terrace!

We loved everything about the condo during our stay at Mauna Lani. The condo was spacious, clean, comfortable and conveniently located to beaches. We would love to stay again but do have a couple of suggestions....our flight was delayed out of SFO and therefore we arrived after dark, so it would have been really nice to have had a few basic provisions supplied for morning; coffee, tea, cream, sugar etc. But the cupboards and refrigerator were bare except for some spices. We have never before stayed in a condo that didn't supply at least a few basics. Also, in the bathrooms there was soap and shampoo, that's it. No cream rinse, lotion, cotton swabs, etc. Again, even a hotel supplies these basics. It just felt a little cheap for such a nice place to stay.

We LOVED this condo! It was perfect for us! We spent so much time on the balcony and the pool. It's in a great location. Could walk to the beach and to the grocery store. Mauna Lani Terrace D203 was very suitable for our stay and we enjoyed our time there We have the same unit reserved for arrival in 11/19 and are looking forward to re-occupying it. The most significant criticism I would offer about this unit has to do with the non-standard sinks in the master and guest bedroom bathrooms. These are bowl-style sinks mounted on top of the counters. The height of the rim of all the sinks is at an awkward level, and none of them had stoppers which would permit filling of the bowl. Your Maintenance Department graciously provided some rubber, cover-type stoppers, but these only worked for the guest bathroom sink. Recommendation: remove these counter top bowls and replace them with flush-mounted conventional sinks. Other than that, we only had to supplement the supplies in the unit with a few items (cutting board, candle holders, dish rack). The kitchen knives could use sharpening. The kitchen window could use a wash. All these are small concerns compared to the overall attractiveness of this unit. Thank you for offering Mauna Lani Terrace D203 for rental. We look forward to our return there in November.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mauna Lani Terrace D203. Incredible view, beautiful decor, great location. We have stayed in a different condo at this property but really enjoyed having both bedrooms facing the lagoon and ocean. The condo had lots of extras- the kitchen had every appliance and utensil you would ever need, lots of extra beach towels, even free weights if you want to exercise. We would definitely stay here again!

Very well put together condo. Wonderful elegant and traditional Hawaiian décor, beautiful bathrooms for two whole couples to stay (although we only had one) and outfitted with a couple boogie boards, beach towels and all the directions to make our stay great. We stayed our first three nights over at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and then easily transferred over to the Terraces. We went snorkeling, had massages at the Spa, went boogie boarding, rode bikes (from the hotel) can rent in town and went on a hike. This is the 10th time or so we have been to the Big Island so we stayed local. This is by far our favorite unit. We will be back again!
