I stayed in the Mauna Lani Palm Villas (unit H1) with three friends and had the best time!! The condo was beautiful and had everything we needed. We cooked most meals in the condo and loved using the barbecue outside to grill mahi mahi and steaks! The four of us worked from home in the mornings and had zero issues with WiFi connections which was great. Very peaceful and private unit. We loved using the pool/jacuzzi, the beach club, and going to the Mauna Lani tennis courts every day. It felt like a resort! Would highly recommend staying here for your next vacation!! We will all be back

The Palm Villas at Mauna Lani H1 is a beautiful end unit condo with all the amenities you could ask for. very nice furnishings and well maintained. comfortable beds, large and spacious, ceiling fans in each room, very nice outdoor area, beautiful grounds, extremely nice pool. the private beach club cannot be beat, no surf, white sand, a restaurant, restrooms, water station to boot. Kona Coast vacations is excellent to deal with, very responsive, I can't say enough about them. You will enjoy this unit and property. It's lovely.

Family of 5 all adults stayed for a week. It was spacious enough. Lots of light with all the windows. nice views into the mature garden and lava rock. Being on the corner gave us more privacy and more garden views. Kitchen had most of things one would need. There electric kettle was broken so we had to boil water for coffee each morning. They have a coffee maker but we like to grind and do our on drip coffee thing. We grilled a few times on the patio and this was nice. The beds and bedding were comfortable. The bath linens were ok a little hard, could be nicer. They provided beach towels. And this unit had coolers, chairs, and umbrellas, plus other things. Very quiet and secure area. We walked to the fish ponds in the mornings and evening and enjoyed the access the beach club.

House was as advertised and better. We are a very experienced VRBO family and I’ve never seen a house so well stocked. We cooked a full Christmas dinner! Very clean, nice amenities, and great beds. Only drawback is the extreme, in my opinion, restrictions on “noise”. Although we never had a problem.

Kona Coast Vacations was great to book with. From the first inquiry on a rental in Kona, all the way to last follow up from them on check out, they were awesome! They made sure all questions answered, rental was even better than pictures! Rental had all items needed for a week stay (dishes, towels, linens, shampoo, etc) and instructions for use. Concierge was great to work with for excursions. Will definitely utilize again.

Beautiful home with a nice view of the Lava Fields. More than adequate space for our family of 6. Close to resort shopping and resort beaches. Roughly 30-40 minutes from the airport and town of Kona for smaller local shopping, food experiences, and local beaches. Our kids really enjoyed the resort pool. The home is stocked with enough items to get you started and this unit had plenty of beach/pool gear in the garage! Peaceful community to relax your entire stay but close enough to explore the island!

From the time we drove up till the time we left, we had nothing negative to say about this place! Plenty of room! We loved that every room had its own bathroom. The condo was absolutely beautiful and perfect. The views were stunning. We utilized the beach chairs, boogie board, and coolers that were provided. Those little touches were so thoughtful! We also visited the Beach Club a couple times, which was wonderful! There is a small shopping center nearby which we visited a few times. We were a few minutes drive to Waikoloa Beach which had a little bit bigger grocery store. Overall, this place worked out so well for us! We'd stay here again!

We had a great time at this property! The home and location were beautiful and we really enjoyed exploring the grounds. The only recommendations I'd make are as follows: more dish towels (there's only 2), and more bath towels (only one per person). Otherwise the home was well stocked and very comfortable.

The house was just as expected. It was a wonderful property and house. The beach club was perfect for our family. Many of the beached were closed due to high surf, but we were always able to go and enjoy the beach club. Would definitely recommend

Great location, close to most things but serene and quiet -- away from the madness of Kona. The condo is spacious and well-equipped. Very comfortable for six people. You will just have to sort out who gets the master suite upstairs with its own private lanai!

We have stayed at Mauna Lani several times. H1 in Palm Villas was a superb unit for our family with adult children. We appreciated the open main floor for hanging out. The three bedrooms & full bathrooms worked well for our crew. The quietness and beautiful grounds created a relaxing ambiance. We will certainly stay in this unit again. Mahalo.

My husband and I rented the property with another couple for a week, at the beginning of December. It is a large, beautiful house, very clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, with a well equipped kitchen. It is a 15mn walk from the beach, where we went snorkeling before having lunch at the beach club. It is a perfect spot for a relaxing vacation, on the beach or the large lanai at the house, which is in a quiet residential area. Multiple restaurants are just a few minutes drive away if you do not feel like cooking.

Home is great. Just as advertised. Wonderful, natural light, private, spacious and well-equipped. Close to amenities and other resources in Mauna Lani. Property is a bit removed from other areas, but that seems to be the case across many parts of the island, so be prepared to spend time nearby or to drive a bit. Nearby restaurants and grocery options can be relatively pricey, but again that was the case nearly everywhere we went on the island.

We loved this house! We are a family of 5 adults and one 5 year old. The house was just like the pictures and more. Plenty of space and outside bbq set up was perfect! The pool was so nice and never crowded like resorts. Plenty of spices and kitchen pots, dishes, etc…. We love this area and with food land market down the road is so convenient, everything from fresh fruits and veggies to great selection of wine and cheese! Will definitely be back! Forgot to mention the private beach is amazing!

We have rented many properties at Mauna Lani, our second time at Palm Villas. We would happily return to this unit. Things to be aware of: 1. Weak WiFi. Would not recommend this unit if you are planning to work remotely. Our cell service was also weak. 2. As other guests have commented, no comfortable beach chairs (backpack style) or beach umbrellas are provided. Not an issue if you only visit the beach club, as lounge chairs are usually available. I hope the owners will consider purchasing these items! A beach wagon would also be nice, since the beach is within walking distance but too far for me to haul beach gear. We liked being able to walk to the beach. With only one vehicle, it allowed our family to do different activities. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this unit. Pictures are accurate.

We had a great time at Palm Villas H1. This is the biggest unit in which we have stayed at the Mauna Lani Resort: 3 full bedrooms and a loft. The owners created a beautiful oasis with lovely furnishings and a well stocked kitchen. The location on the west side of the Palm Villas means both sunset and peek-a-boo ocean views, as well as lava tubes in the historic preserve. We love the proximity to Foodland and the close walking distance to the beach. Note that the beach supplies were fewer than at other condos at which we have stayed, so bring your own snorkel gear or get some here. The beach chairs were not great, and there wasn't a beach umbrella among the supplies. This was not a problem for us because we spent all of our beach time at the Mauna Lani Beach Club where chairs and cabanas are provided. All in all we would love to come back to H1. We found the property manager to be very responsive and accommodating, and we appreciated the concierge-level outreach both before and during our stay. Great customer service, Kona Coast Vacations!

This was a great experience all around. Be prepared to drive 40-60 minutes to Kona restaurants.. or 15 to Surf Burgers (Kawaihee, Kohala) - Eddy would go! Highly recommend for privacy, quiet pool and plenty of space. Only drawback.. both King beds are upstairs with en-suite baths.. which meant the Grandparents got the smaller bedroom downstairs. Other than this blip - all was well!

I traveled with my husband, mother, and grandparents. The set up was perfect for each of us to have our own room and bathroom, with my grandparents not needing to climb the stairs to their room. The living spaces are spacious, and views from the lanais are beautiful and relaxing. The location is nice, very quick drive to the beach club or the market. Walking to the beach is doable, but long for anyone who isn't in great physical shape. Our only disappointment was the restrictive hours at the pool. They are only open from 8am-9pm, and the lights turned off by 8:45. We love to spend time after dinner in the hot tub, and that rule meant we weren't able to use the pool area as much as we would have liked.

Five of us stayed here for over a week in August including two small kids. The house was clean and there was plenty of room for 5 of us. The house was stocked well with pots and pans and everything you need in the kitchen. They do have tons of spices and things, storage containers, tin foil, that sort of thing. This house was not particularly stocked with anything that kids may need. Kids dishes, cups, etc so if you need that then bring it. The beds were too hard for my husband and I which is why I don't give it 5 stars. I prefer a pillow top or memory foam or something on the softer side and this wasn't it. For that reason, I prob won't stay at this property again. The Palm Villas area is quiet and small and really nicely landscaped. They are super strict about noise and appearances and have onsite staff monitoring these things. We got told twice (including a written notice) about towels on our back lanai, which weren't visible to anybody. My kids were also told to quiet down at the pool by the supervisor. I understand they don't want parties and blasting music at the pool, but kids are kids, so this was kind of a bummer. One of the regulars joked that they want to run it like a 55 and over community. So keep that in mind if you have a large group or lots of kids. We rented a golf cart during our stay which made it fun to zip around the property. The beach club was awesome, the hotel is beautiful all be it pricey. Make reservations ahead of time if you want to eat out. We appreciated being able to cook most of our meals. Golf is top notch but also pricey. Love the Mauna Lani property and will return, just not sure it will be at this place.

Lovely, well-maintained corner unit with comfortable beds, an assortment of cooking tools and utensils (though very few spices and no other staples), and a peaceful, private lanai. We've stayed in many units in Mauna Lani over the years and this one was comparable to most of the three bedroom ones. They do have two boogie boards, 4 beach chairs, 6 beach towels, and a beach umbrella which come in handy. Would stay here again, but would prioritize other units that have a few more amenities (bikes, more cooking supplies) if given the choice.

Everything was great overall. The grill gave us a little fits with vapor locked gas lines and the knobs were loose but nothing we couldn't fix quickly. The house itself is fantastic with all the amenities needed. The place was very clean and comfortable. Huge bonus when we found a couple chairs in the garage that made our trip to the beach much more enjoyable. The rental company Was very helpful leading up to our visit in explaining the demands and needs of traveling during these restrictive times. Overall a great place to get away from it all

Full marks to Kona Coast Vacations in all areas of service. All staff are extremely helpful and courteous and willing to address any concerns or needs you might have. Our unit was extremely clean and well cared for. Hard to beat Palm Villas for location and convenience within Mauna Lani Resort. The pool is surrounded by lush vegetation as is the entire complex. Great location for morning walks through the lava park to the beach areas.

The space is open and airy with lots of light (a must for me) and lush greenery everywhere. The location of this place cannot be beat either! Every day, our family walked on an awesome lava path to the beach. There is also the option of driving to a private beach club just a few minutes away where you can use an access card that comes with the villa! This was very helpful when we wanted to bring lots of gear (chairs, toys, boogie boards, etc.) for a full day at the beach. Check-in was so simple with the keypad on the door - also great for not having to worry about taking keys to the beach. The kitchen is very well stocked which made the house feel that much more like ours. We spent many nights making our own meals and enjoying them on the backyard patio. What a treat! The only thing that was missing was some Tupperware that KCV brought RIGHT over. They were very responsive and accommodating. Extremely impressive! We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to return! This has definitely become “our spot”.

Aloha! My recent experience with Kona Coast Vacations was five-star in every sense. The team at KCV was attentive, knowledgeable and extremely friendly. We had the pleasure of staying at Palm Villa H1, which offered the perfect setting for our “Big Island” getaway. Brimming with natural light, thoughtful amenities and chic désign accents, we felt at home the moment we walked through our villa's front door. Quick highlights: the kitchen was sleek, intelligently appointed and well-stocked with modern appliances. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, the master bath is beyond luxurious, the electronics, appliances, fixtures and A/C all functioned without a hitch, and the outdoor patio space - with a sizable grill, plenty of shade and breathtaking, unobstructed views of the park - really put it over the top. Plus, we were able to enjoy ourselves in complete and total privacy. In fact, there was no interaction with neighbors at all during the entirety of our stay. It really felt like we had our own private residence, L.O.L! The location was ideal too, as we were just situated moments from the pristine beaches and trails that surround Mauna Lani resort - which, by the way, has just recently undergone a beautiful renovation. I highly recommend that you check it out. In addition, a wide variety of top-quality restaurants, shops, entertainment attractions and scenic natural sites are just a short distance away. Needless to say, we’re already counting the days until we’re able to make our return to paradise - maybe even with an “ohana” of our own if we’re lucky!
