We had such a great time staying at this beautiful home. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and there was ample room for all of us to sleep comfortably. The private beaches and tide pools were an absolute win for the kids. They spent hours searching, wading and fishing out there finding all sorts of fun creatures. We went snorkeling in the lagoon and saw lots of beautiful fish and even sea turtles! When we were not at the beach we were swimming in the salt walter pool or relaxing in the hot tub. The sunsets were beautiful and the sounds of the ocean day and night was relaxing and amazing. The house was beautiful and very clean and well stocked for daily living, the neighborhood seemed safe and it was an easy walk to the shops and restaurants nearby. Would defintely recommend and hope to be able to go back and stay here again in the future.

All I can say is WOW! Kona Coast Vacations was fantastic to work with in planning our vacation to Kona and immediately responsive to our questions! Upon our arrival, you welcomed us with cards and a lovely bag of goodies to celebrate our anniversary and my husband's 82nd birthday - what a wonderful way to greet us! Vista Oceania was absolutely gorgeous! The house was exactly like the pictures on the website! We are so happy to have stayed there for our celebration and we hope to come back in the future! We had a fantastic vacation. We really appreciated the goody bag upon arrival with the treats, seasonings, honey, and coffee. The house was well appointed. Your cleaning team does a fantastic job. The large covered lanai and proximity to the beach can’t be beat.

Probably one of the most spectacular views on the west Kona coast. You could not be any closer to the water and you can swim there especially at high tide. There home is beautiful and in good condition. There is also a pool and spa if you like. The good people at the office we always quick to respond to any issues. There is also excellent security with a guarded entrance. This is our second stay and we will be back.

This is the first time staying at a home, and it was amazing. Its location was great, and the property management team was very responsive. I liked that its in a gated community and in Kona where we had access to all the stores. Will definitely stay here again if we ever visit the Big Island

This home is in a great location and has an excellent view overlooking the Pacific, with direct access to a tide pool beach. However, the home is outdated. Internet coverage throughout the home and external areas is poor. There is no SMART TV, just cable on a very old TV. The dishwasher not secured to the cabinetry with door dropping down to the floor or your feet. The washer and dryer are aged, and have rust and mildew. Multiple leaks in the living room and kitchen windows with rain, with multiple window cranks missing or unusable. Missing and/or broken window coverings. No indoor dining room or kitchen table. Given the high cost of this rental, we did not expect to have to deal with all of these issues.

This house was very nice and was everything it claimed to be in it's description. The master bedroom is on the higher floor and is massive, with a private balcony. The two other bedrooms are on the main floor and share a bathroom, Jack-n-Jill style. The kitchen is well equipped with anything you might need to prepare a meal. The outdoor lanai is also very large and has amazing views of the ocean. We did a lot of sight seeing while visiting the Big Island, so we probably didn't get to really enjoy the home for all that it had to offer, but would definitely recommend staying here. Nice, safe location and an easy drive to Kona.

We had a great stay at this wonderful home only issue was not being able to get the "hot tub" to heat up at all, I know that it would not get above 100 but could not even get it warm, maybe I didn't understand the instructions and it really wasn't a big deal. we really enjoyed just sitting on the lanai and watching the waves come in and out, very relaxing.

Incredible view - worth it for that. We turned a blind eye to the very used/worn out furnishings, appliances (with exception of refrigerator) etc. because of the view. Beds were comfy though. Pool sits in shade is not heated, it's an ice bath! If it wasn't for view and nearby Queens/Keiki bath hole, I would give it 3 stars at best. Would I VRBO again - maybe depending on what else is available and price point.

The house was great but no words could do justice for the view from either the main floor or second floor lanai. We spent hours out there just enjoying the Kona coast. Most well appointed kitchen I've experienced in a rental and loved the laundry room. The Master suite was amazing and we appreciated all the towels. We enjoyed the pool as well. Nice bonus to me since the house is right on the ocean. And the location was perfect! So close to many, many restaurants and shopping.

Property is in a gem of a neighborhood. A real hidden secret if you are not familiar with the area. Great for those who want to escape the big resorts and find yourself right next to a laid back small town. Great restaurants nearby, great swimming hole out the back gate, and seamless check in and out. The one piece of constructive criticism would be replace the dishwasher. Otherwise, great place to land in Kona.

Great property, had a fun time! So close to downtown! Views off the lanai were awesome! We will be back! Kids loved the pool, tide pools and beach. The only thing I would have changed is to be able to remove the pool vacuum while my kids were swimming, it was a bit of a safety risk. We made it work though!! And FYI for future renters - hot tub can only be turned up to 100 degrees and only stays on for 3 hours. Not a big deal to us with younger kids, but it was a surprise when we got there.

It was so exciting to be able to travel back to Hawaii! We have stayed in Kona Bay Estates several times and love the location, access to tennis courts, beach and easy walk to restaurants and Kona. The location of this home was awesome especially if you enjoy activity on the beach. Our only disappointment was the pool size (pool appears much larger in picture) and view from the pool (there is a fence with bushes so no view of ocean). However the lanai was awesome with breathtaking sunsets every night. Plenty of shade and room to relax. We made special memories this year.

Stayed at this property for 19 nights in December 2020. The listing on VRBO is accurate and the pictures do a good job bringing the property to life. It's spacious and well appointed. The location is right on the beach (which wasn't busy) and is private. Yet you can walk or drive to downtown in minutes. The house was great for my group of 6 people and I happily recommend it for others.

The house was beautiful--clean, well laid out and nicely furnished. The second floor lanai was roomy, and we spent much of our time there. The location is perfect, right on the water, with a very short walk to a nice beach that is just right for little kids and also for checking out fish and taking a short swim. The only issue was the small plunge tub next to pool was supposed to heat up to 100degrees, but never got above 80.

We had an amazing stay in Kona for the Ironman. The house was the best! Beautiful views, great spaces, indoors and out! So nice to fall asleep to the sound of waves crashing on the rocks. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook great meals. The house is walking distance to everything you could need! Hope to go back and stay there again soon!

As a first-time VRBO user, I was a little concerned how things would go, but I am so glad I trusted the reviews, photos and description for this property. It was AWESOME!! We are a family of five, with a 19, 17 and 16 year old. We all loved this house. The layout is very family friendly, with the master suite on the second floor, separate from the other rooms. The house is super clean and very well furnished. All of the beds were comfy. Our favorite “room” was the second floor outdoor deck, with great breeze, comfy chairs and fantastic views. The house is more than well stocked with household and beach items, and everything is easy to find and labeled; so there is no wondering how to use anything. Also, the photos don’t do the little beach out the back gate justice. When the tide comes in, there is definitely good swimming available, particularly good for smaller kids. The pool is small but nice. The location of the house is also very convenient to downtown Kailua, an easy walk to Alii street, where the main drag stuff happens. If you want to work out, there are also a couple good gym options in walking distance, off of Palani. Finally, there are supermarkets, a Target and Walmart within 5 minute drives and a Costco about a 10 minute drive back toward the airport. Again, we loved this house and would not hesitate to come back again.

The house was gorgeous and the location was perfect. Everything in Kona was within minutes of the home. I would highly recommend this place. The only reason I gave 1 star for communication with the property manager is that he scheduled some work to be done on the house during our stay without informing us ahead of time. The house was booked months in advance and the work was booked weeks in advance so the knew we would be there. The noise and vibration made it impossible to be home during the work. Had we known, we would have scheduled an excursion that day, but of course it was scheduled on a day we had planned to enjoy the home. It lasted 2 days. The management did reimburse us for 1 night of our stay which helped. This is probably an unusual situation, so I would still recommend the home.

We loved the fact that the pictures from the web were true to what you got. It was also very clean upon our arrival. The furniture was beautiful and very comfortable (including beds, sofa bed and bedding) - no weathered or worn fabrics. There were also plenty of towels. To quote one of us: "Pull-out sofa bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept on and very bed-like." The kitchen was well stocked and conducive to cooking in. Many different types of glassware, cookware, dishes, spices, cleaning supplies, and ancillary items. The layout of the house (both indoors and outdoors) tempted us to just lounge around and enjoy the environment. A small sandy beach and tidal pools just in front were especially fun to explore, with a handy access gate directly from the house. The ocean beyond provided the constant soothing sounds of the waves. One other highlight was the nightly viewing of the beautiful sunsets from the well positioned lanai. It was a wonderful stay and a home we wouldn’t hesitate to rent again. Definitely a home to recommend. Suggestions: * A full-size ironing board would save time and aggravation (in trying to use the table-top board). * While there were several high-quality smaller skillets in the kitchen, we didn't seem to find a larger one (e.g. 12" diameter).

Beautiful house, spectacular setting, great lagoon for young children. Must be one of the best spots on the Big Island. Well maintained, very neat and clean, lots of beach accessories. We had beautiful sunsets every night from our deck. We knew that you were available if we needed anything, but everything was perfect! The house had every type of amenity: blenders, coffee pots and bean grinder, a juicer, even a barbecue on the back deck. All the rooms were spacious and there were plenty of sheets and towels and all kinds of toys for the beach. The pool was wonderful and so was the hot tub. There was even a plunge pool to get in and cool off. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely stay there again when we visit Kona! Thanks again!!

Sunsets on the Lanai

Three couples shared this home on the beach and would definitely return. The large lanai has attractive, comfortable furnishings for lounging and dining with unobstructed vistas of the ocean and sunsets. A gorgeous beach and lagoon is a few steps from the house. It was never crowded. The owners have equipped the house with everything you might need and management was exceptionally responsive. The DVD player was not working and they replaced it within a few hours. The main drawback is that the two bedrooms on the first floor share a bath. But we would still happily return because the other features of the home were so good. A great rental home.
