It was perfect. We did wish there was plastic or foil wrap as we cooked while there but there were plenty of everything else we needed. We loved having a cooler and beach chairs during our stay.

Glorious Nine Days

We stayed in unit #304 for a glorious nine days in e3arly November 2025. What an absolute joy! This unit is exceptionally well maintained, and very well appointed! It was clean, quiet, comfortable, and easy to access with an elevator practically right across from us! The bed was comfortable, the shower with rainfall shower head was superb, the lanai was an oasis of calm during morning coffee and meals. Having stayed in numerous Ali'i Drive Condos, we can comfortably say this was one of our top three experiences. We really enjoyed walking the grounds every day - the landsacaping is so well done, with flowers of every shape and size with tons of birds providing plenty of entertainment as they flitted through the foutnains and around the hedges. The only thing we could not find during our stay was a knife sharpener; that would be an excellent addition. Other than that minor detail, this truly was very well stocked with utensils, dishes, and anything else we needed.

Frist Time on the Big Island - Great Stay

Every once in a while, you find a hidden gem in travelling, and such is the case with Casa De Emdeko. One might say the venue is somewhat dated, but that is what gives it the character it so richly displays. The gardens are impeccable and well-tended. The condo itself was well appointed with all that was needed for a great stay and the best part was that there were no extra tenants...at least with antennae and six legs. The whole environment is very quiet and equally as friendly. The core group of residents are very receptive and even sounds a conch shell at sunset. The location is central to all that is necessary, stores, restaurants, and is on the road to the volcano...a must-see even if she is not active.Communication was exceptional with the agency and all in all, made a first visit to the Big Island a worthwhile adventure, one that will be repeated.Looking forward to next year!

Amazing Vacation!

Our stay at Casa de Emdeko #304 exceeded our expectations. We arrived at night and were not able to get a good look at the property. When we woke up, we had a beautiful ocean view from our lanai. The property features two spacious pools, one of which, is a saltwater pool right by the ocean. There are lush green native Hawaiian plants though out their property. We enjoyed cooking on the community BBQ outside lined with tiki torches, while watching the sunsets over the ocean. The condo is a spacious one bedroom with a king size bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking and serving necessities, which helped us save money on meals! The house comes with a washer and dryer which was a huge relief for us. I highly recommend this place and look forward to coming back to this lovely house. I will miss hearing the ocean from the couch.

Absolutely Perfect Vacation!

We had the most amazing stay in Casa de Emdeko 304! Being on the third floor, the balcony has a fantastic view over the tranquil gardens with the ocean visible in the background. This condo had everything we needed for a perfect vacation, from updated kitchen appliances, beach gear like chairs and an umbrella, and an incredibly comfortable king-sized bed. The whole condo felt like a mini art gallery from the stunning paintings on the walls. This was honestly the best place I have ever stayed for a vacation. The whole Casa de Emdeko complex has a paradise feel to it and I was impressed by how well kept the whole place is. The saltwater pool was huge and has a gorgeous view overlooking the ocean. There are many loungers around the complex and by the pools. Absolutely perfect vacation! We will definitely be booking here again!

Casa is an excellent place to stay

We stayed at Casa de Emdeko unit 304 in April 2024. The unit was clean except for the shower door which has built up soap scum, also behind the bedroom night stands(which looked like it’s never been cleaned). I must say Kona Coast was excellent in response as we had a few small appliances that did not work. They also provided excellent communication via email regarding our stay, directions to the place and other information about the island. Very informative! This complex is dated in age but don’t let that stray your decision to stay here. The grounds are kept up, such as the beach is combed , pools are cleaned , garbage removed. There were three new Weber BBQ’s installed prior our stay which worked great. They have tiki torches lit every night and down in the common area is an entertainment in itself! The salt water pool is amazing. Views are a bonus too. The unit itself was great. Comfy bed , quiet and had every function and tool in the kitchen if you love to cook. You will get the evening sun which has pull down blinds if it gets too hot. A/C works excellent. Casa is very central. About 25 minute walk to DT Kailua and going south about 10 minutes to a great little market open daily with the best taco food truck. We would definitely come back to this complex again.

Convenient Location!

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Emdeko 304.It was so nicely upgraded, quiet, and comfortable. The air conditioning kept us cool.We liked the convenient location as well as the saltwater pool by the ocean and the tropical scenery on the grounds. Having meals on our lanai with ocean view was a treat. We hope to stay here again.

This Place is Amazing!

Wow - this place is amazing! The property itself is immaculate with well-groomed plants, and there is a saltwater pool by the ocean to enjoy at sunset. The location is great, as you are away from the traffic of Kona, but close enough to walk into town if you want to. The kitchen is one of the best equipped of any condo I have stayed at in the Hawaiian Islands, and they have top end appliances as well. The king size bed is very comfortable, and the unit has all the amenities you need to make it feel like home. The place felt spacious, and was immaculate when we checked in. Kona Coast Vacations was wonderful to work with, and even though we got there late, the check-in process was flawless. The owner has also thought ahead to help you enjoy your time at the beach by providing chairs, umbrella and a cooler, in addition to a couple of boogie boards. This place is the most complete rental I have had in Hawaii - it definitely feels like your home for the week!

The best place I stayed in Kona!

This is a heavenly complex, with beautiful landscaping and a private ocean view. I was traveling alone as a single woman and enjoyed that I could hang out at the pool or beach, walking into town easily (though about 40 min) or catch an Uber. The room was so spacious, clean and with all the amenities one could need, including full beach gear (chairs, umbrella, cooler). It was the best place I stayed in Kona! My one recommendation to the owners would be to add an interior manual bolt or hinge lock for extra sense of security. The front door locks automatically, but I found the door open a few times from the wind because I didn't close it all the way accidentally because no manual lock. Other than that lovely stay and just perfect!

We didn’t stay at the property much except to come home at night and because of this, thought the location worked very well for our activities. Overall we were comfortable and the space is adequate for having a place to use as a home base. The kitchen is fantastic and we felt we had everything we needed. We got in the salt water pool one night to see the sunset, and enjoyed that very much. The down side was that parking was not very convenient as we had to park outside the gate each night, and the bedroom only has windows along the public walkway so you have to leave the shutters closed and that made the space not very inviting. There was a mold problem in the closet on the ceiling and the shower tile had a lot of mildew built up. It wasn’t a deal breaker, but surprised us. Overall it was a good property.

We had a wonderful time in Kona. This is my 5th time staying and various units in the Casa complex. Unit 304 had the best equipped kitchen of any unit stayed at before. Everything was very neat and clean upon arrival. I reported issues with the toilet and it was repaired the same day. The appliances were new and all worked well with the exception of the dryer. We cleaned all the lint filters even washing them and it still took forever to dry a light load of wash. There is either something wrong with the dryer or proper operating instructions need to be provided. The Casa complex as usual was well taken are of. We will stay at this complex again next visit to Kona

The unit A304 was amazing!!!

Prime location! There’s a little convenience store right out front. All the shops were just down the road. The salt water infinity pool was one of our favorite parts as well as the private beach! Our apartment was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. They had pool floaties we used as well as beach chair which we took to the beach. They had all the essential cooking supplies like Pam cooking spray and more. I always appreciate when places have things like this because it’s the last thing you want to buy on vacation. The appliances and bathroom were very modern and up to date which we liked. We also LOVED that they had an elevator, we didn’t have to lug our suitcases up stairs! It’s the little things! If you plan on staying here make sure you walk down the driveway on the left of the check-in office to get to the elevator. Also Kona Coast Vacations made checking into our room very easy, great instructions.

Wonderful updated unit that fit our needs perfectly. Clean and all appliances worked perfectly. The door to the wash machine closet needs repaired. It slides off the tracks. Otherwise absolutely perfect.

Beautiful grounds, location and the perfect unit

Wow, this is probably the nicest vacation property we have ever stayed at. Both the complex and condo were perfect. The photos don't do this place justice. The unit was clean and had top of the line appliances including a washer and dryer. They had a beautiful view of the ocean from the lanai. They had two large smart TV's in the unit. We feel we really lucked out with this unit and feel that the complex has to be one of the best complexes on the island. The complex was quiet and we really enjoy the oceanside swimming pool. We were able to sit on the beach and then move to the salt water pool while listening the crashing waves. We found it to be an easy walk to downtown Kona. The unit was spotless and had everything we needed. We will definitely return to Casa and unit 304. This was also one of the few units where you do not have to climb any steps.

High End Appliances

I booked this property because it had very recently been completely renovated. The owners did a beautiful job. High end appliances, a nice firm bed, excellent smart TVs that allow you to use your Netflix or Prime accounts. Some rentals have old TVs that have only cable. This unit is fully air conditioned. This is a big plus for comfort. A Bosch washer and dryer are available. I believe it is a ventless dryer. It takes a VERY long time to dry anything, so plan ahead. The unit is on the south side of the complex which I think is preferable because it doesn't get direct sun. This makes the lanai more comfortable. This unit is perfect for two adults. I would not recommend it for small children. The two pools on the property are clean and lovely to swim in, but not suitable for small children. Kona Coast Vacations did an excellent job of keeping us informed about our reservation and provided excellent instructions for access to the unit. I would book this property directly with them.
